What a gem this game is. Whether you like metroidvanias, tough games, gothic vibes, or just hitting abominations with oversized weapons, slashing them with samurai swords, blowing them to bits, smashing them to bits, or erasing them with magic, this is simply a strong, strong video game. I highly recommend it. + Positives + The atmosphere is phenomenal. Each area feels distinct, it's dangerous and visually rich. The world design is layered with story hints, environmental details and a strong gothic identity. + Melee weapons, guns, spells, you name it. The game gives you a wide arsenal and lets you experiment freely. + The soundtrack is excellent, both in quiet exploration moments and during boss fights. The music always hits the right mood. + Bosses are: Outstanding. Fair. Fun. They don't one-two shot you and they scale well with your progression. By late game, your skills, upgrades, and weapons all come together in a satisfying way. + Free teleporting back to the manor is a blessing. + You can respec. + You can try any weapon regardless of stats. + Solid performances that fit the tone of the world. + Dungeons, Towers, Boss Rush, plenty of replay value after finishing the main story. + You can place your own markers. (THANK. YOU.) This alone saves hours of wandering but...(it's just me, I wish they would be placing themselves automatically...still good) + Weapons feel distinct, with unique mechanics and satisfying movesets. + Enemies look great and are fun to fight even the tougher ones. + Really cool and very satisfying finishers. They're brutal, they feel right and they restore your health each time you use them. This is one of the best draws and additions to the game. - Negatives - This is my biggest personal disappointment: For a game inspired by Soulslike aesthetics, the absence of real armor sets is a huge missed opportunity. The game looks like a Soulslike cousin, smells like a Soulslike cousin but refuses to give you armor like a Soulslike cousin. - The starting classes only affect stats and your initial weapon...the artwork suggests visual variety but in reality your appearance never changes. The only "skins" are recolors of the same outfit. The starting classes tease you with cool artwork and then you realize...it's all a lie. The only "skins" are recolors of the same outfit. Meanwhile, NPCs are walking around looking like gothic fashion icons. Let me dress like them, please. You can unlock new characters after beating the game but it's not the same as having true armor variety. - The main menu looks...cheap The game's art is stunning so why does the main menu look like it escaped from a free Unity template? Everything else is beautiful. This one screen just didn't get the memo. - This is a metroidvania curse but still worth mentioning: I wish the game automatically marked areas that require specific abilities (double jump, special keys, etc.). Instead, you'll wander the map like a lost kid, trying to remember which ledge needed double jump, which gate needed a key, and which wall needed smacking... - The story exists... The item descriptions? Great. The characters? They speak like they're auditioning for Bloodborne 2: Even More Cryptic Edition; Simple questions get answered with cosmic riddles. Erik is a speaking protagonist so the story could be clearer but instead everyone talks like they swallowed books drenched in eldritch ink. Erik is a speaking protagonist so a clearer narrative would've helped the world feel more grounded. - Invisible walls everywhere - Secrets behind invisible walls. - And sometimes invisible walls behind invisible walls. It encourages hitting every wall you see, which gets tedious. A shame, because the actual puzzles are good, there just aren't many. And some of these secrets...give you pretty much nothing...if only it would've given us that armor I was talking about :( - Platforming never evolves. Despite visiting many areas, the platforming challenge stays basic from start to finish. - The Kickstarter trailer promised fireworks and the final game gives you sparklers. Still, a great game. Conclusion The Last Faith is still a fantastic game. It's stylish, fun, atmospheric and absolutely worth your time and money. It's a phenomenal metroidvania that just falls a bit short of its full potential. Final score: 8/10. I only wish it had armor sets, clearer storytelling, and better tools for tracking locked areas but even without those, it's a strong, memorable experience.

I'm gonna honestly compare this game with its brother (Blasphemous 2) to see what differences and similarities they have, to know if this game is worth it for you. BETTER THAN ITS BRO: - Greater number of different weapons with its own style combat and greater variaty of skills - You can choose different attributes depending on your play style or what you need at that moment - Different elements and status effects that make the game more complex - A free DLC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that expands the original game as well as its lore - Due to the points mentioned above. You can deduce, that this game has greater replayability than its blasphemous bro WORSE THAN ITS BRO: - A less fluid combat - It reuses some enemies, only increasing their health and damage - You have to over-farm a bit to level up weapons, attributes and other stufff. - The parry mechanic isn't very intuitive, but it's not necessary to beat the game - Blasphemous's soundtracks are superior - Blasphemous's lore is superior but let's be honest, few games have better lore than blasphemous, because this one is a masterpiece. SUBJECTIVE POINTS: - The game focuses on combat with almost zero platforming, FOR ME THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! - It has instant kill spikes like blasphemous 1, for the majority of people this is so bad but it helps to create tension with the gloomy atmosphere of the game, PERSONALLY I HATE IT AND LOVE IT AT THE SAME TIME - The game has not difficulty settings but you can overfarm to beat the game, but the next level is going to cost you more than the previous one. - Single-use comsumable items that you have to farm again or buy IN CONCLUSION : "If you are a fan of soulsvanias or dark metroidvanias this game cannot be missing from your collection and recognize then even though it is not a perfect game. You can't say that these indie developers didtn't put a lot of effort into it. For their first game of this style. They did it pretty well"

The devs added a free DLC nearly two and a half years after release. That alone deserves a positive review. This is a fantastic metroidvania. If you enjoyed the Blasphemous games, you'll be right at home here - as the Last Faith draws heavy inspiration from those games, all with a Bloodborne-esque Gothic Victorian aesthetic.

Very good game, abled to be 100% on your first playthrough, smooth combat, however no NG+ and some points of no return that aren't mentioned or clearly shown can be a rude surprise, however, amazing game beautiful and gritty
