Tearscape is the perfect fusion of Link's Awakening/The Oracle Zelda Games + Bloodborne. If you love top down action, with soulslike progression and a MAP for all of it, this game is for you. I got all achievements and 100%'d in around 11-12 hours, and enjoyed every second of it. In 2026 to get a game like this, at this caliber from a single dev, is absolutely incredible. Do yourself a favor, lock in for the night, fire the game up, and feel like you are playing a GameBoy Classic. Tearscape rocked. That is all. BOOM!

Reminiscent of the gameboy era Zelda games, definitely on purpose, with that Bloodborne flavoring. Doesn't overstay its welcome, boss fights got better as the game progressed, encouraging (but not necessarily requiring) newly found gadget usage to help per the old school Zelda formula. Combat was snappy, with a -little- jank around platform edges. Definitely recommend if you're a fan of the older Zelda formula games, with some of that grit and grime from the soulsborne series.

Pretty good so far. Only problem is that you still activate dialogue even when you aren't facing the NPC, so when you are trying to dash away, you often activate the dialogue and have to keep pressing through it. Other than that, it offers exactly what you expect from the store page.
