Bloodborne reimagined in the style of Link's Awakening . Fun, but unimaginative. It's the usual Zelda-like loop of exploring and finding tools that allow you to explore farther, all while trying not to get killed by monsters. For something allegedly inspired by From Software's ultrahard games, it's surprisingly easy. Enemies can be tough, but there's no reason to fight monsters other than tears (EXP), so you can just dodgeroll past the tough ones and grind the easy ones. Bosses do present some challenge, but diminishing as the game goes on- most of the later ones I beat on the second try. The plot adds nothing; barely more than a rough gesture to push you towards the next area, culminating in a offensively anticlimactic ending. (The ending is literally just a message: "The hunt has ended. Thank you for playing!" ) Worth a try if you like Zelda-likes- it's difficult to get this genre completely wrong- but maybe wait for a good sale.
It was a good game. Short and sweet but just what I expected, BloodBorne with the gbc Zelda. Wished it was longer, and had a lot more weapons & tools . token system and stats could use some work, felt like only a few were worth your time. 1 more token slot would have been nice :( 8/10 worth the price and your time
Tearscape is the perfect fusion of Link's Awakening/The Oracle Zelda Games + Bloodborne. If you love top down action, with soulslike progression and a MAP for all of it, this game is for you. I got all achievements and 100%'d in around 11-12 hours, and enjoyed every second of it. In 2026 to get a game like this, at this caliber from a single dev, is absolutely incredible. Do yourself a favor, lock in for the night, fire the game up, and feel like you are playing a GameBoy Classic. Tearscape rocked. That is all. BOOM!
Reminiscent of the gameboy era Zelda games, definitely on purpose, with that Bloodborne flavoring. Doesn't overstay its welcome, boss fights got better as the game progressed, encouraging (but not necessarily requiring) newly found gadget usage to help per the old school Zelda formula. Combat was snappy, with a -little- jank around platform edges. Definitely recommend if you're a fan of the older Zelda formula games, with some of that grit and grime from the soulsborne series.
I mainly played The Legend of Zelda games back in the late 1980's and early 1990's I did not really care much for anything else, then when I got older I got into Dark Souls, Bloodborne, etc. I would love to play Bloodborne again, hopefully they will bring it to Steam one day! Since I first played Dark Souls, I got to thinking, I wonder how The Legend of Zelda and Dark Souls would be if they were combined into one game, and sure enough someone made a game I have long been wanting to play, a combination of Zelda and Dark Souls, and I love it so much, Tearscape is very much appreciated! If you are into The Legend of Zelda and Souls-like games, this is the game for you, I promise you will love it, have fun! Thank you for making my dream a reality by making this game, you are awesome!
