Great, thou I have some criticism/suggestions 1) after locking and unlocking PC she disappears and program restart is required 2) some lines are not voiced - please make all lines voiced + add JP dub 3) make it so that if I take her she would spin based on how I move her 4) give her more idle animations 5) add some events (like her running away from cursor as you try to catch her or the opposite where she would "steal" the cursor/try to catch it, or whatever you thing of) 6) make her walk/jump on screen when idle or when she is on the 2nd screen (for example when you have more screens and only work on one she would move on the other screen freely or with some limitations set by the user) 7) add wallpapers to the files 8) add at lest a few soundtracks to her music folder (from the original game)
As much as I love Lilith, this game is just too barebones. I mean, rather than buying a game, you are actually just paying for the VA and upcoming JP VA. So, I'm gonna write this summary review based on my experience with a similar desktop companion game: VPet-Simulator. TL;DR: If you love Lilith or just want to support the dev, buy it. If you expected a real-good desktop companion game, no, It's just a simplified version of Desktop Mate. Pros: - It's Lilith. SHE EXISTS! - Minimal bugs on release - Good enough content for a day-one release - 80% of the dialogue is voiced - Unique dialogue for specific applications (like Visual Studio Code and games from the same series) and different desktop window sizes - Cute animations - Playing music and setting timers are nice additions Cons: - She eats approximately 500MB of Storage, 700MB of RAM from your PC, CPU Usage will go from 1-5% to 7-15% when speech bubble shows up - Forced to run through Steam - Her speech starts to feel repetitive after 1 hour of idling - Some animations still feel kind of stiff (her lying-down pose is just like a static PNG staring at you with a speech bubble) - There aren't any animation transitions yet, mostly in the Realm Schedule. For example, she'll be standing and then suddenly she either lies down or goes straight to sleep. - Missing a guide (For real, I didn't know I could talk to Lilith until someone told me I could just double-click on her) - I don't know where should I put this but The strawberry hat should be available for everyone, not only for pre-ordered and random lucky ones (I mean, I put this on wishlist on June 6 and didn't receive one, meanwhile a guy I know bought it today, got a guide on how to enter a code for the hat but refused to tell me how. I mean, I'm just a envious, selfish person after all) Things that should be added: - Intro animation - More dialogue and Small minigames (So she's not just someone who's staring at you, give her some clear objectives instead) - Options to change clothes - JP voiceline and Workshop support (these 2 are still WIP afaik)
I broke up with my gf as soon as the game released.. Unfortunate truly, but I was not happy with constant intrusion of boundaries. This blindness could not give me shelter anymore. I choose to listen to my passion for Lilith. Had I not my coil would have blistered and decayed.
absolutely pawsome!! to any linux users: use Proton-GE, then add WINE_LAYERED_OVERLAY_ALPHA=1 %command% as a launch argument. then lilith will roam free on your penguin-powered desktop!! if you don't know how to use Proton-GE, simply use a little tool called ProtonUp-Qt to install it, then restart Steam. right-click this game in steam, go to properties and you can tell Steam to use Proton-GE as the compatibility tool, hope this helps somenyan out there <3
- It may trigger your antivirus when you install (at least for me), Norton found nothing from the file though. It's safe - Lilith uses ~372mb on my laptop, this should be standardized - There's a setting page for you to tune her size, text speed etc. - Even though you can set different game languages, her voice is still only Chinese for now. - You can double click her to chat about various things: your day, your thoughts, or just have her put music on - She sends you love letters Personally recommend to enjoy this to the fullest after the base game though. Lilith makes you schizo
