My cat loves this game. I pull it up every day to feed them and she goes nuts. Occasionally, I leave it on aquarium mode for her while I work. She bats at the fish and lays next to the monitor watching them. Very cute game perfect for cats.

Fun idle game, looks like it has a lot of potential I do have a few minor criticisms: -Tank decor seems a little bottom heavy, I'd like to have more landscaping freedom. It would be nice to have some larger rocks that you could build off of, more freedom with scaling, and clipping to get more shape to the tanks. -more early quests would be nice I find myself sort of waiting around for the resources to do them, it would be nice to have some smaller things to occupy you. -The loading screen sort of looks AI generated to me (maybe its not IDK some of the shapes look a little funky to me), it kind of sticks out especially considering the rest of the game is very well stylized, I hope it gets updated. -Chat doesn't stick out very well its easy to miss messages, it would be better if it took inspiration from web fishing IMO. If the chat box wasn't see through and each user had a random color assigned it would be easier to differentiate messages. Overall looks good, fun game if you'd like a desktop trinket to run in the background.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Adorable game, very stimulating and pretty, I love my fishies! buuut, while I do recommend it... I'm not sure I'm a fan of the online implementation. Buying from and selling to players and hanging out in lobbies is fun, yes, but having to beg for engagement on a discord server so I can complete quests is not something I'm a fan of. I've already sent feedback to the developers asking for these mechanics to be changed, and I hope you guys do too, if this is something that you don't like to see in videogames. Overall still awesome, I love my fishies. UPDATE: It has since been just over a week after I posted my review of this game and I have enjoyed it for another 10 hours. The devs have made a few tweaks over a couple of patches, and I must say, most of my gripes with the game's social system have been corrected. For starters, I haven't gotten a single quest to receive reactions from other players for a few days. I assume they've been removed entirely, because I did dozens of quests and not one involved that. You still get quests that prompt you to visit and react to other players' aquariums, but those are obviously not the severe pain that is actively begging for reactions for yours, not to mention, they added an unlimited reaction type so that you're never limited to how many aquariums you can react to (let it be known the previous limited reaction types still exist and they're, to my knowledge, the only way to obtain the online currency you use to buy other player's fish) Sooooo, yeah, pretty happy about that! Seems like they listen to feedback and take it quite well. My opinion still stands, awesome game.

This is, in my opinion, the perfect fish game. - Nice balance between active playing & idling. - fishing minigame - Breeding & genetics. - Screensaver mode & tiny mode to keep on the bottom of your desktop while you do other things. - Very pretty & relaxing. - Social features but you can also play solo. If the devs read this: please add aquatic frogs <3

TLDR; This game is a dream come true for fish lovers. 100% recommend to anyone interested. There are plenty of fish to collect, decorations to play with, and people to talk to! It is a new game, so expect some minor bugs whilst the devs iron things out. This game far exceeded any expectations I had before playing. I haven't even played for that long and I'm incredibly impressed. This game is perfect for anyone who likes the vibes or completionist style of Animal Crossing or Webfishing but is looking for a more casual, in-the-background type of experience. It's a perfect compliment to a study session, late night call with your buddies, or anything else--sorta like Placid Plastic Duck Simulator. I played this game a little as a demo, and the full version of the game is a perfect upgrade to an already relaxing and satisfying experience. I wholeheartedly urge anyone who's considering this game to get it. It's worth the money, and the devs clearly put a lot of love into this game! In my short time playing so far, here are the things I've noticed: Positives: - Your aquarium can accompany you in the corner of your screen while browsing by using tiny mode. For me, it's perfect for studying or completing school work! - Menus are easy on the eyes and straightforward. - 131 total possible fish and variants to collect! A great amount for a game that just released. - Each fish has a cute information blurb that tells you a fun fact about their real-life counterparts and their population status! I think it's a wonderful touch that other games of this type lack. - Controls are straightforward. - Amazing, calm sound effects and music that really immerses you into your tank. Personally, I could watch it for hours. - Many customization options to unlock for your fish tanks. - Quests are short and sweet. Complements the relaxing nature of the game. - Social aspects are quite enjoyable. Just like Webfishing, but more lowkey! - You can leave reactions on other's tanks and receive them too. Always heartwarming to do so, especially after having a nice conversation while fishing together! - Your bait is only consumed if a fish bites, so you can recast as many times as you please. Thank you, devs!! Negatives: - You can only leave 5 reactions per day on other's tanks. I need more!!! - Fishing is a little too brainless. - You can't pop the coin bubbles while in tiny mode. - There's no fish storage option. If you want to go fishing but have full tanks, you can only sell your fish, which means making some hard choices sometimes about who to keep. I had to sell my first fish to make room--RIP, Carl. Possible improvements: - Allow users to leave notes on each other's tanks. Would make the interaction a lot more personal! - Higher rarity fish should be significantly more difficult to catch. Would make fishing more interesting. - Include a fish storage option that also pauses aging/hunger, effectively allowing them to live forever. Sorta like a mini freezer. I don't want to lose the fish I love the most! - Allow a way to remotely sell the fish in your tank while you're out fishing. Currently, you have to leave the group, which interrupts conversations and can be especially annoying if you haven't upgraded your tank size yet. - Expand the fishing area or allow for a customizable user maximum. I find that it gets overwhelming at around 20-25 users as of right now, and the current max is 100. - Introduce a way to disable nametags or enable translucent boats so you can see if rare fish have spawned easier. - Small QoL improvements such as showing a fish's stats upon catch and including a rarity key on the side of the screen while fishing would make for a more satisfying experience, since you only have so much bait or room in your tank! - Allow the option to sell a fish upon catch instead of discard. Overall, this is a wonderful little game made by lovely devs. Now I can finally have an aquarium without spending the money on one IRL!
