i really wanted to like this one more than i do. it's a cute, fairly short game (about half my playtime was achievement-hunting) with a charming style and lighthearted nature, but it left me wanting more. i think it would've benefited from more mini-games, meaningful upgrades, and more interesting things to find. a lot of the humor didn't land with me, but i respect any game that doesn't take itself too seriously. overall, a fun romp, but i probably wouldn't get much out of playing it again.

so much to love about this game, from music to gameplay, to writing, to characters... overall amazing and very fun experience <3 if you love games like "a short hike" you should definitely pick it up. a game filled with pure joy and fun. i wish to see more games like this! also, don't forget that you can always multiply your money by 6 if you're in debt.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed Tiny Terry earlier. This game is so small and contained, but scratches a very specific itch. 1. It's a mini open-world game where you can finish the main quest fairly quickly, but the fun part lies in the side quests and challenges. The main premise is so dumb and cartoony, and I love it. 2. You interact with goofy townfolk, that often have quirky demands, and upon completion, you are rewarded with some of the most out-of-left-field resolutions you can't help but laugh at. 3. The controls are so smooth and the platforming is // chef's kiss 4. The comedy is physical, verbal, and meta at times (when an achievement pops up, it often provides a punchline). 5. You can wear costumes, jump, hit, drive towards or off of, explore, do just about anything you want in this town. It's like a tiny sandbox full of funny, engaging characters and storyline, with tight controls and superb sound design. Probably the most fun I've had with a video game in a long while. Just pure, simple, fun.

This game is incredibly charming. I think the trailer drew me and got me to wishlist it, but my desire to play something new got me to actually play the game, and I'm glad I did. It's basically running around a map and collecting thingies and doing bizarre quests for people, while being (again) incredibly charming the whole time. The soundtrack is a highlight for me; I went and found it on Spotify just to listen to some of the tracks outside of the game. I mostly played it on my Steam Deck and it played fine; it struggles to hit 60 fps at low settings so I locked the fps to 45 and raised the settings to mostly high, and it pretty much stayed locked there the whole time. I'm a bit sad that the moral of the story seems to be "you can't avoid your problems by driving your car up a tower into space" ; I feel like if the creators of the game gave it a chance in real life, they'd maybe have a different take.

its is a very silly, low stakes game that I crave. It reminds me a lot of a Short Hike or Button City. You just go around doing whatever you feel like, no crazy challenges, just little mini games, things to explore and junk to be found. The dialog is also very funny. To me this is what a cozy game is. No tasks or clock counting down (looking at you stardew) just do whatever you feel like when you feel like it. Life is hard. I've played EVERY From Software souls-like. I am tired and I just want to have fun and release dopamine in a stress-free environment.
