Accidentally shot a civilian kid and the game started lecturing me about morals, even though I’m playing as a US black-ops unit soldier - realism only goes so far, I guess.

(Update under initial review) Nice game if you like open world games like Far Cry, GTA, RDR2. You're a CIA asset who is dropped in Bolivia and get assigned a squad, your objective is to take down a criminal syndicate that spans multiple regions with bosses and gangs. You collect resources, find clues, upgrade weapons and skills and such. The map is vast and diverse. Having citizen NPCs everywhere makes the world come alive. Game runs at at least 60fps with all ultra on a 5900x + RTX3080. No need to install on SSD, game loads fast enough from HDD. Game + DLC pack is on sale for €15 at the moment of writing, a really good deal. - Update after playing for multiple hours now. The map is incredibly large and diverse, but also diverse on macro scale. There are salt planes, deserts, mountains, temperate forests, tropical jungles for example, all with their own weather patterns and scene lighting. There are unique buildings with beautiful architecture and interiors. As you progress and did some investigations the background story comes alive, while a rebel army starts to form. I've seen pretty intense fights. - Another nice detail, vehicles do not unspawn the moment you step in another vehicle or look the other way for a brief moment. So you may arrive with a car near a town, do your business, and an hour later you walk back to your parked car (though sometimes friendly NPCs "borrow" your vehicle). There are also really funny interactions between NPCs. For example, one mobster is a famous singer, you can visit his mansion. On the street there can be fans who are annoying a guard with their cheering. - Anyway, the game is incredibly big with tons of missions and side quests. There are four main routes with unique story missions to get to the big boss, but you only need two of those main routes, so you can complete the story any way you want it.

“Shitballs!” – A Love Letter to One Seriously Fun Shooter Okay, I didn’t expect to love this game as much as I do. I bought it thinking, “Alright, let’s see what this is about,” and next thing I know, it’s 3 AM, my snacks are gone, and I’m debating whether to stealth a mission or just charge in yelling like a caffeinated goat. So yeah—it’s that kind of game. Co-op? Yes, please. Bring your friends, your cousin who thinks he’s a tactical genius, or your buddy who can’t shoot straight to save his life—either way, it’s an absolute blast. Coordinated stealth or chaotic nonsense, both work. But hey, if you’re flying solo, it’s still totally fun. You just miss out on hearing your friends scream when they accidentally alert the entire enemy base. Graphics? Drop-dead gorgeous. The game looks so good it made me pause mid-gunfight just to admire a sunset. That’s right, bullets flying everywhere, and I’m out here thinking, “Wow, look at that lighting!” You’ll be tempted to take more screenshots than actual shots. NPCs steal the show. Between yelling “Shitballs!” and “Keep your head on a swivel!”, they’re basically unpaid comedians in combat boots. I don’t know who wrote their dialogue, but I hope they got a raise. Half the time I stick around just to hear what random nonsense they’ll blurt out next. Customization is elite. Want to dress up like a gritty merc with tactical gear from head to toe? Go for it. Want to look like a confused tourist with a grenade launcher? Also totally doable. This game is basically Tactical Barbie, and I love it. You’ll spend more time tweaking your loadout and wardrobe than actually fighting bad guys. Mission difficulty? Rollercoaster. Some missions feel like a casual stroll through enemy territory, others will have you sweating bullets and questioning your life choices. Tier 1 mode is for players who think pain is fun, and Ghost Mode is for those who laugh in the face of failure—and then cry quietly after. Now, for the photographers out there: This game is a DREAM. Seriously. You can mess with the time of day, use a free camera, find stunning locations, and create wallpapers that’ll make people ask, “What game is that from?” It’s like the devs knew people would stop mid-mission just to enter photo mode for an hour. I’ve taken more scenic shots in this game than I have on actual vacations.

I remember the first time I played Ghost Recon Wildlands. It was the spring of 2017. I was twenty-two, standing on the edge of adulthood, searching for something vast enough to get lost in. A friend had been talking about it for weeks, and one evening, almost on a whim, I bought the disc. But it wasn’t just a game. It was a map to another world. It was Wildlands. I installed it, turned on the console, and Bolivia stretched out before me — endless mountains, dusty villages, rivers glinting under the burning sun. I spent that whole night learning to move slowly again, to scout, to plan, to breathe before pulling the trigger. The stealth, the firefights, the moments of pure silence broken only by the wind — it wrapped around me like a second skin. I wasn’t playing it. I was living it. Then came dozens of missions, late-night raids, and quiet helicopter rides over sleeping valleys. I learned every province, every cartel leader’s stronghold, every path over the hills. And without any guide — just a map, a marker, and a stubborn will — I built my story, piece by piece. It wasn’t just a playground. It was my war. It was home. Every now and then, my closest friends would join me. We weren’t soldiers. We were just tired kids looking for something bigger than ourselves. I still remember those perfect moments — when the plan went wrong, when the alarm blared, when everything turned to chaos — and we laughed like madmen, scrambling to survive. We didn’t need perfect runs. We needed memories. It was our refuge. It was our bond. And now, eight years later, I go back. The world has changed. I have changed. I’m thirty-one now. And those friends? They’ve moved away, chasing dreams in different cities. Yet every time I boot up Wildlands, it’s like stepping into a painting no one else can see. The graphics are softer now, the servers quieter — but the heart is untouched. Every sunset, every thunderstorm, every whispered radio call speaks in a language only my memory knows. It’s the heartbeat of another life. It’s the breath of a world where we were unstoppable. Ghost Recon Wildlands isn’t just a game. It’s a time machine. It’s a second chance to feel free, to feel fearless, to feel alive. And as the rotors whir over the endless horizon, I remain there. Fingers on the controller... And a tear I cannot tell — whether it’s sorrow or gratitude.

Get it on discount, the game is fun but alot of gear is locked behind BS lootcrates that you either have to grind for (in a SP game!!!) or pay cash for. Hope Ubisoft will go out of business because their greed fks up good games.
