For a dinosaur horror game It's pretty good. Although the jumpscares could have been a little better. They're less scary and more annoyingly loud (mostly the raptors and marp-1). I enjoyed the story it was really interesting although I wish we got to see more of it. Maybe another game running off the the same story line? Also I do wish some dinosaurs had bigger roles then they did. Like the spino and theri. Both of the models for them where really cool and it's a shame neither of them had a bigger role other then a few scripted jumpscares. The parts where it could pick up your mic where really cool but I feel like there should have been more jumpscares or elements that caused the player to gasp or something to make those parts more intense because it honestly wasn't that hard to stay quit even with high Mic sensibility. Despite the fact it could be improved on in some places I think it's a good game and did enjoy playing it a lot. So if you're looking for a quick horror game and like dinosaurs this is great pick.

Short and sweet. Good atmosphere and the dinosaur models look great! Ending is a bit lacking, but overall a fun 2-3h experience.

Very short but atmospheric game. I like the aesthetic of it and the fact that there was no music.

Unknown Tapes is a short but thrilling experience. A combination of found footage and dinosaur horror, the latter of which has become popular in the following years. There are really great set pieces with some dinosaurs and the darkness of the constant night creates some stellar visuals, such as seeing the glowing eyes of dinosaurs that are out of your flashlight distance. A short sentence to sum up this game is: A corporation has a underground secret lab underneath a small town and the townspeople being victims of the foolish idea of bringing back monsters into a time period they do not belong in. Voice acting is very limited with only several spoken lines throughout the entire game. Most of the sound comes from the dinosaurs, ambiance, and the sounds of your feet. A lot of lore is revealed through documents and visual storytelling. Dinosaur variety is abundant, most of which you'll recognize from Jurassic Park but there are a couple unique to this game. You can find documents giving a short summary on each dino as well as interesting information such as when their fossils were first discovered. A gripe I do have with the game is can be sometimes unclear whether you need to sneak or simply walk/run through an area. Usually this ends up in having an unnecessary death, which can ruin your run if you're going for an S-rank. Though I say this is only a complaint on your first playthrough. Once you've played the game you can speedrun it within an hour. I would recommend this game, especially if you're looking for a small fix of dinosaur horror. I would like to see the developers expand more on this genre, maybe give us more different prehistoric beasts to be afraid of.
