Didn't expect the story to be written in first person, neither did I expect to enjoy it in that format but was pleasantly surprised. What it makes up for in not giving you the option of choosing a character is handing you one that is likeable enough to root for. She's got a personality on her, which is well portrayed in her written voice. Characters here have their own philosophies and it keeps them three-dimensional. Each with their own proclivities, realistic goals and added oddities that make them stand out, vampire quirks aside. The Trait System was a nice touch, and added replayability to the game. Having a character respond more consistently with their prior actions is the hallmark of good storytelling gamified. I also like that there are recurring characters from other instalments too. The artwork is breath-taking, as are the soundtracks - well thought out and meticulously selected for scenes depending on the kind of atmosphere needed to invoke feeling. And that club music went extra hard. Didn't need that kind of heat in the evening. Would have preferred a longer stretch of story, a shorter add-on version where you get to play as Dakota and more in-city scenes to choose from to bolster replay value. A difficulty setting to increase the chances of dying, and the already established city scenes having drastic consequences on how the main story advances would make it more interesting. It's short and sweet, pretty niche, has its faults and head-scratching moments, but it's a great read, and it grows on you. 9/10. My favourite goth girl crash out game.

The game is short and sweet for a VN. There are few, if any story branches, but I found what there was incredibly enjoyable. I'm just waiting to forget the plot so that I can replay it.

Fantastic game! I played this before Coteries (the first one) and felt a bit confused almost the whole time. Perhaps if I had played that beforehand I would have enjoyed it more. However, it was still a super fun game that I don't regret playing. The confusion does add to the general lick mindset, afterall

A kind of short visual novel set in a world where vampires rule form behind the scenes. Story is rich and transtitions really quick from one point to the next. There is a vast terminolgy used thorugh the story since its a first person narration, luckily for us, there is a note section that allows for the explanation of said terms in relation to how it is interpreted by the protagonist. The art and soundtrack may be simple but they dont fail to create the setting as it unfolds the story. I would also like to point out that the character do stand out visually. I, however, would have liked more insight in certain characters and events that happen in the story, because why bother give them names and make them look important if only to skim over them in favor of a plot that moves fast on its on schedule. Still worth its price, it is a good read if you have a few bucks to spare.
