VERDICT...? (copy pasted from the bottom) sure, i wouldn't say "try it" for 6$ because under 2 hours is not enough to experience this game fairly, so you would most likely get a refund over pushing through to finding this enjoyable. I WOULD say buy it for 6$ if your looking to play through a stealth game... that's more fair of a statement(with the understanding that is not open with options or sandbox elements). there is a "MOOD" for that... hell, that's why i even played it.. i was in the mood for this kind of old school xbox ps2 style(system wise, not visuals... its pretty) linear stealth game enough to bear the frustration and will be going back for some reason. REVIEW: ehhhhhhhhh... jesus. i do really like this game, but it... it takes a loooot of tolerance and will power to get through primarily because of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ checkpoint based saving(no active saving) and hyper sensitive detection(no matter the difficulty). taking the game as it is... it is strictly built around staying in the shadows, crouched and only stealth kill if there is absolutely no way around an enemy otherwise about enemy interaction altogether. there is non-stealth combat but it's horrible and clunky, clearly not the goal of the gameplay, its all designed around you not engaging in combat. i guess it's there just to no rely on "insta-fail" stealh gameplay, but it still kind of feels like insta-fail. the game is absolutely beautiful though, and totally still holds up today(though some may stickle on the more lower spectrum of polycounts). the primary gameplay level and scenes are beautiful, i dint have much to say about the alternate coma environments, scenes and gameplay(adrenaline) aside from those elements are not as beautiful... they can be rough. i have no issue with how linear this game is... at least it would be better if there was an actual save/load system. i would say, you can pass this game off as a very difficult stealth game over saying its outdated and poorly designed. the level design can be pretty clever, but it is linear in the sense of progression pathing and how you accomplish tasks. you do not have options here... this is not a stealth sandbox... i's still a decent stealth "video game", that's for sure... just... again... takes a lot to accept the trial and error style progression that the checkpoint system and detection sensitivity turns this into. it's frustrating... but pretty.. and somehow thats... fun? i guess? i don't know what's wrong with me lol... ehhhh... i guess at 6$ it's not bad if you can push yourself to keep going after failing over and over due to trial and error... aannddD--- actually, that's kind of like... lol dark souls, soooo eh(i love dark souls btw).
