This game, alongside Half Life Alyx & Boneworks, are the best representatives of the potential of VR games. They are large, immersive adventures that feel good to play and have a good amount of physical feel. The campaign was great fun throughout the whole thing and considering the small size of the team that made it, its scale is super impressive. It can feel random and ridiculous at times, but that is what made it so charming and fun. In addition, the other main highlight of this game is the great feeling guns. I used almost all of them a lot just because of how fun it is to use them. They also feel really good to reload and to shoot, making combat pretty fun. There is a decent amount of enemy variety. This game is just a pretty goofy but impressive adventure and that is why it's so fun.

This game ladies and gentlemen is the BEST VR game I have ever played and yes, I played Alyx, Boneworks, Asgard's Wrath, Lone Echo, Saints and sinners, EXD and Arken Age, but this one is special.

I played the first game a while back and have had this in my library for a while finally found some time to check it out and its even better then the first game vertigo is the only vr game that i feel truly pushes the technology as far as it can go and actually uses vr to its advantage unlike some games that just almost feel like its vr ported this game is a must have.

This game does not deserve to be as underrated as it is. It is one of the best vr games on the market that strives to be different than the samey slop that's way too popular nowadays.

I can't believe I'm just now finding this game in 2025. I wanted to give a huge kudos to the developer of Vertigo 2 - nearly solo-deving this game while in high school. Super incredible and one of the greatest VR games I've ever played. The gameplay, the physics, the polish, the secrets... simply incredible. I played through this over the course of a week and I'm about to start NG+ and couldn't be more excited to 100% this game. The weapons are so unique and creative, the bosses, the levels... so many moments that had me laughing at the sheer incredulity of what I was experiencing. This game is as good as Half Life Alyx was if not better. I'm torn because the gameplay of vertigo 2 is so much better than half life 2... the graphics are on par - and there's actually WATER in the game... something randomly missing from Half Life Alyx (guess they weren't happy enough with it). If I can say just a few more things about this game... it's 100% worth a buy, I'm torn between losing myself to the amazing level editor created or going through NG+ or playing the DLC into the aether (just purchased it). Describing the levels as I've played through them sounds like a fever dream (which is awesome). I just played through the second faction mission (awesome concept, well done) and changed factions... I could go on and on about how great this game is - definitely a must buy for PC gaming - and I'm SO THRILLED that you did not scale back the graphics to appease the META marketplace like so many other developers have done. Can't wait to see what you build in the future - would love to work with you (fellow software engineer, less fun stuff than this incredible game you built).
