Just finished the game at 28 hours. Here are some thoughts about this good game. the storyline ends and just left me sitting there feeling depressed. dont play this game for the story. The bugs were infrequent and mainly happened in Chapter 7 with the death camp assets moving to different parts of the map, this could be fixed by restarting the game which only took me a couple mins each time since the game loads pretty fast on my pc. this only happened a few times during the mission like 3 times. now theres a quicksaving bug that was the most annoying bc it would have the quicksave icon flash but not finish the save for a few seconds after it disappeared so I ruined my quicksave a few times by taking on too many enemies before it actually quicksaved. the quick save is pretty fast near instant but you gotta wait a few seconds after you click the button and the icon goes away. I really didnt see any other bugs. It's easy to cheese enemies chasing you up a ladder and then you just shoot them when they come up. if theres no ladder then i just shoot one and then run away until they stop looking around then go back and shoot another. these two cheese tactics started to be used by me at the fifth mission because I got tired of playing the puzzle aspect of this RTT even though the standard way of playing is good its just the cheese method is more chaotic and fun. theres really only one character you want to play with im sure you know who after a few missions
It was fine. Enjoyable enough if you like the genre, but not near the top. Gets the basics mostly right, but was noticablity rigid with encounter approaches (unless you count going guns blazing flexibility) and polish was lacking which led to some frustrations with character actions/pathfinding. There is a story, but it's just used to bridge the missions, did not find it compelling. Also the animated style of the cutscenes didn't really match the seriousness of the tone they were trying to convey, felt like an odd choice. Briefing style cutscenes with recon photos and a map would have sufficed. It has co-op which was a welcome feature, not something you normally get with these tactics games. 7/10.
As someone who has played most of the major stealth strategy games, such as the Commandos series, Shadow Tactics, Sumerian Six, and Desperados III, I can say those games set the standard for controls, graphics, and gameplay. This game feels very similar to them. It still needs some optimization and a few quality of life features, such as a speed-up option, but overall it's a solid experience. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a great stealth strategy game.
