Played Space Marine after finishing SM 2 - it's a fun game and its definitely helps you appreciate the polish and improvements made on the sequel. The story takes about 6 hours and whilst basic is worth a day playthrough just to see how much of a dick Leandros is. One thing that stood out to me is the great community - everybody is open to helping and friendly when doing co-op or multiplayer and it is nice to see...especially in an over decade old game. As expected the testosterone in this game is strong so get out there and slay the alien, the mutant and the heretic. In the name of the Emperor!

I had no idea what Warhammer 40k was about. After playing this for the first time, I still had no idea. But the game is so good on all fronts that it invokes interest in the 40k universe.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine is one of those rare games that grabs you from the first second and never lets go. From the moment you drop onto the forge world of Graia as Captain Titus, it's pure, glorious mayhem—and it feels incredible. This game doesn’t mess around with hiding behind cover or recharging shields. No, you're charging into waves of Orks and Chaos like a walking tank, chainsword roaring in one hand and bolter thunder in the other. It's the ultimate power fantasy, and man, does it deliver. The combat is where it really shines. The seamless blend of ranged and melee combat is just chef’s kiss. Executions aren't just flashy—they’re how you stay alive. The more aggressive you are, the better you do. Every hit, every gunshot, every takedown feels chunky and satisfying. Few games get this level of weight and impact so right. The story is straightforward, but that’s all it needs. It leans deep into that gritty, gothic Warhammer 40K aesthetic with jaw-dropping environments, thick atmosphere, and just the right amount of lore to pull you in—whether you’re a diehard fan or totally new. The voice acting slaps too—Titus is the definition of “calm, collected, and kills everything.” Even all these years later, the visuals still look amazing, and the soundtrack is pure epic war hymn material. It pumps you up. It wants you to crush xenos beneath your boots. And let’s not forget the multiplayer. Exterminatus mode was criminally underrated—fighting off waves of enemies with a custom Marine was a blast, and it absolutely deserved more love and support. Games like this don’t come around often. Space Marine is unapologetically bold, brutally fun, and just an absolute joy to play. We need more games like this—games that embrace their tone, respect the player’s time, and just let you go nuts in a beautifully crafted world. With Space Marine 2 finally here, there’s no better time to jump back in. This isn’t just a great Warhammer title—it’s one of the most fun action games ever made. Period. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3549229814 Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWI2qOtCyh4&list=PLKuVMkePc-_MYGiM8tyJvuRYVdNtyUePi
