Dec. 2025
I sunk over 10 hours straight into Winion Virus, and I was genuinely sobbing multiple times. What hooked me were the five little Winions. They are depicted with such pure, innocent spirits—always sticking together, fighting back against the cruelty and torture they face. The storytelling shapes each Winion’s personality and quirks, making them feel less like data and more like truly alive beings residing within my computer. Honestly, I'm not usually a horror game player; I'm quite sensitive, and horror elements easily overwhelm me. But I had to make an exception for this game, purely because of the Winions. Even when facing truly extreme and terrible situations, they still prioritize caring for one another and trying to hold things together. Knowing they were counting on me motivated me to accompany them until the very end. It was heartbreaking, though, that the player acts more as a powerless observer. I had no real choices, forced to watch terrible things unfold right in front of me. This game is truly a masterpiece. I deeply appreciate all the effort the development team poured into it. It gave me a unique, unforgettable experience, and I will never forget I-ON, Bo, Grid, Fix, and Debug.

It was quite good! Art is lovely, overall story is nice. The conversations drag on sometimes, and can feel repetitive. I did not like the lack of choice. The story has enough pointers that if you pay attention you won't be surprised by most of the game. This is frustrating when you're forced to make a decision that you know is stupid.

I had so much fun playing this game! The beginning was a little slow, but I actually really liked that aspect of it since it gave me more of an attachment to the Winions. I will say that some of the English translations weren't perfect, however I hardly saw that as an issue when it came to comprehension. Regardless, I highly recommend this game (and would love the addition of multiple endings)!

This game has an incredibly slow start, but I'm noticing that to be the case with a lot of games like this. Doki Doki Literature Club and OMORI, for example. I'm thinking that the slow start is actually a good thing. Sure, you go in wanting horror, but if you just get horror and no build-up, how is the game any better than cheap jumpscare horror? See, this game truly makes you care for the Winions, then makes you feel powerless in the face of their endangerment. This game doesn't pull its punches, and I think it ended up being such an incredibly unique experience. I would highly recommend this to people.

Great game.... but EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!! Runs great on the deck. Ignore my long playtime, mistakenly left the gm on. The Winion’s are definitely smarter than I am
