Best racing game from the last ten years. It's like I'm playing Destruction Derby on the PS1 again.

This game rewards you for driving dirty and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up other drivers cars and the tracks are designed for maximum carnage. Assetto Corsa's got nothing on this. You'll be barreling down the track at top speed and see cars on fire coming at you mid-air like missiles because the AI drivers are meth heads on a mission to destroy. The constant rivalry and hazard on top of all the customization options to the cars and playing modes make for one hell of a fun game.

Wreckfest – A Beautiful Mess of Metal and Mayhem This isn’t just a racing game. This is therapy with horsepower. It’s Fast & Furious meets WWE, but everyone’s drunk and no one’s wearing seatbelts. You wanna race clean? Good luck. You wanna t-bone a school bus in a lawnmower? Absolutely. You wanna fly 30 feet in the air because Jeff from Iowa didn’t brake into Turn 1? Hell yeah you do. 🛠️ The damage model is so good I’m emotionally attached to my crumpled hood. 🚗 The physics make every crash feel like slow-mo art. 🎵 The soundtrack screams “I live in a garage and I’m proud.” 🎮 The AI? Aggressive. Dirty. Beautiful. I watched one guy go for the win and another driver literally yeeted him into a tree. Online lobbies? Absolute warzones. One moment you're in 1st, the next you're being turned into a human Beyblade by a couch on wheels. Wreckfest taught me: It's okay to lose, as long as you take three people with you Friendship ends at Turn 2 “Brake” is just a suggestion And sometimes… true love is a combine harvester with flames on the side 10/10. Would fly off a cliff into a pile of tires again. If you don’t own Wreckfest, your Steam library is missing a soul.

Wreckfast ”Drive hard, Die Last” A fun game from the original makers of Flatout (The proper Flatout not Flatout3) Huge amount of car variety with some stand out favorites for me like a Nissan Skyline R33 and a Volvo 240. Huge amount of tracks with great car combat, I like the handling style is kind of sim cade the cars have weight to them and the drive type makes every car feel unique. The graphics are really nice and the carnage that can be on track is quite spectacular. Love it when tyre walls get completely destroyed and the tyres end up flying around the circuit. The AI is quite strong as well. Racing and hitting hard in equal measure. Multiplayer is active and stable. The one negative for me is upon starting the game for the very first time the Highballer achievement popped as it did for a lot of people. I would have happily grinded for that. But now it feels hollow. Weird bug that the final achievement pops on start up Trail-Dave ”Smashy, Smashy“
