It's ok, it's not amazing but not terrible either. Your car collides with and gets stuck on random textures and geometry sometimes and the cars have terrible liveries and feel like they steer from the rear wheels instead of the front. The handling is a bit odd on simulation mode and the handling on tarmac is funny, especially on icy tarmac with studded tyres because of the insane amount of sparks flying all over the road which doesn't happen irl. Some of the car models are unrecognisable (is it a ford fiesta or a fiat punto? who knows!) but overall I enjoyed playing through the singleplayer career mode all the way through. I still have the original physical release of both Xpand Rally and Xpand Rally Xtreme, but it's never a bad idea to support developer even more. Plus my new PC doesn't have an optical drive.

Not gonna lie, this is a lot of fun and surprisingly well made. If you want to play on steam deck you will have to change all the controls in the main menu.

TL;DR: A better alternative to Colin McRae DiRT Trilogy, since that game was taken down. Previously played this game on my cousins Windows VISTA PC back in 2009. With Keyboard and all, it just feels awkward playing a rally game on a Keyboard. Either get a Driving Setup or a game controller. The game support Xinput, but very limited button prompt because it's old and Techland forgot about it I guess. The only cons I could come up with is that controller supports are sucked and the Rally challenge is pretty hard. Like DiRT, you are NOT ENCOURAGE to take first place. Second place is okay. but if you're a completionist who wants nothing but GOLD in your leaderboards, good luck. 8/10
