considering i'm far below the recommended playing on high getting over 80fps average this game has optimization that modern AAA developers can't seem to figure out thank you genki for another banger in this long-lasting franchise. dreamcast classic 2 now. this game is beautiful nonetheless.
This game is not for everyone, but it is for me. If you love JDM, casual gameplay that can still get intense, and just playing NPCs then this game is for you. The graphics are as good as they need to be, gameplay and the feeling of driving is thrilling and the soundtrack is awesome. To note, i play this game, and all racing games with a remote so I cant speak on behalf of having a the whole steering wheel setup, although I am thinking of getting all that in the future. Car selection is also great. You have all the best JDM cars here, but it would be nice to see some more basic cars from different years. I truly give this game a 10/10. I think its a perfect game, but like I said from the beginning this is not a game for everyone, but it is for me.
In a world where every racing game coming out is a Forza inspired festival racer that hands out the fastest cars after one race or spending real money, TXR really stands out using its old formula from the PS2 era. Real progression with cars you spend time using for the majority of the game. Sense of speed and visuals are top notch. My only gripe is some of the car models are slightly lacking in detail. Overall, 9/10 arcade racer!
