March 2025
PSA TO ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS: -An update was released in March of 2025 that added new bugs or outright broken the game for a lot of people. Before this update I had no problem at all launching or playing the game, since the update I now have a small 1inch long vertical white line on the bottom corner of the screen any time I play, gun shooting and reloading sound effects as well as explosion sound effects are incredibly inconsistent. These were issues not present for me prior to the patch. -Some people are reporting their game is incapable of even launching, or are unable to change the resolution without the game hard crashing. -This is an incredibly fun and unique survival horror game that the devs put a lot of time and effort into and has a setting/atmosphere unlike any other game I've played. I'd wholeheartedly recommend purchasing it on a sale which is why my overall review is positive, but just be aware of these things prior to playing so you're not caught by surprise.

UPDATE: It seems Ubisoft or Valve released some kind of patch or update for this title, and my copy is now running smooth. Be advised, there is another review here that explains on going into the files itself and downloading a specific Ubisoft software; this is what I did and I followed their instructions to the letter. With that, it is still a way bigger hassle to have to download 3rd party software just to run one game, and so for the technologically savvy, I recommend this. For those of you out there that are wanting something to be able to play on download, I would pass this one up until it goes back on sale.

This game is great! To all of the people who are having trouble launching the game because of Uplay. Go into the game location folder and launch the Ubiconnect installer. Launch the app and log into your Ubisoft account or create one if you don't have an account and link the game to your newly created account. The game launches just fine on windows 11. Should work fine on windows 10 as well. As for the game play and graphics, the game play is good, I have loved the game since it came out on the WiiU. The graphics are good considering how old the game is. So that doesn't bother me. I play a lot of older games as well as newer games.
