Anomaly President turned out to be a lot more fun than I expected. The idea of running a campaign during the day and fighting bizarre anomalies at night works much better than I expected. The humor never feels forced, and the pixel art and soundtrack give the game its own unique charm.

A 2D platformer hack-n-slash roguelite made with love. Anomaly President is a really well-made 2D hack-n-slash roguelite. The animations and dialogue get surprisingly brutal at times, and the humor lands, not the best I've seen, but genuinely good. The core loop is fun, especially when you manage to pull together a strong build early and start deleting enemies. You can tell this was made by people who actually understand the genre. The animations are smooth, the art style is great, and the whole thing just feels polished in a way I wasn't expecting. It's no Katana Zero, but I honestly didn't expect it to be this clean. Also game became so different after I realized you have i-frame while doing combo enders and using anomaly powers, I never used parry after realizing that and it made the game so smooth for me. A few negatives: Mini games are fun the first few times, but by the 10th one they start to drag. Food supply should really be automated. The air buttons feel too weak. None of that kills the experience though. This is a fun, lovingly crafted game, and I'd recommend it.

Dead Cells who. My only issue with the game is the dancing minigame, the window for a perfect move is quite short. 10/10 game anyway, loving the story so far.

I heard about this game from Enis Kirazoglu, a YouTuber I really like watching. For months he and the Phew Phew Games team kept the community updated and asked for feedback, and it really paid off. The game turned out amazing. It's from a small studio that put so much effort and love into this project. The pixel art looks great, the animations are smooth, and the game runs perfectly. The story and the animations together make it so much fun to play. Besides combat and story there is also base building, which feels really unique. Compared to their last game this one is on a whole different level. I'm really proud of Phew Phew Games team for pulling this off, and I'm sure all their hard work will pay off.
