Picked it up on a sale on a whim, but holy crap this game is tons of fun. Great mix of silly and incredibly powerful weapons, many choices for talents and multiple build ideas you can craft. Translations seem to be done well from what I've experienced. All in all, it's more than worth the sale price and definitely worth full price imo. Get ready to fight Satan with a sphincter gun.

This is junkfood. It's tasty. It's nice to have every now and again. There's something satisfying about the crunch, and then the magic flavour dust assaults your tastebuds. This game, my friends, is junkfood. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's best to have just every now and again. It's not really a deep game, it's deeply silly, and it's kind of basic. You're not going to impress the in-laws. But it's *fun* in short doses and that's the whole point. This thing basically plays like a twin-stick shooter got drunk and fell into a vat of Survivors-like. You'll have to manage both the moving and shooting yourself and you rarely ever want to stand still once the enemies start using area and ranged attacks. Staying ahead of the horde is a good idea and you can use chokepoints to slow them down when they have more speed and durability than you have raw damage-dealing. You also need to roam around the map to find a better weapon, so turtling isn't an option early in a run. Levels get you a selection of powerups to choose from, and that's where this gets Survivors-like, where you want to try to stack up buffs into progressively more powerful (dare I say, "ideally broken"?) builds. And, beat up enough bosses and survive long enough, your run is done. Takes 20 to 30 minutes a go, so it's a quick snack of a game. Maybe you've unlocked a new class or some new gadgets. There might be a plot to the game, but it's not really a deep thing that will provoke much thinking. That's not the point, anyway. Now, there's supposedly coop implementation, but I haven't given it a go. I've beaten... the main quest line with the starter character, I've unlocked another 20-something dudes, I may or may not try it again. I may or may not try it a few times with the missus, if she wishes; I bought her a copy, but I thought the game was more of a diablo-like affair. That's okay, it was pretty cheap and I got way more out of it anyway. And the game is silly. I might even say incoherent. You're blasting on zombies and satan his big ol' red self, and it really doesn't matter if you're doing it with a guitar-wielding punk-princess, a grizzled retired cop or some engineer from the space future. And it doesn't matter that I have a toilet bowl flying nearby and splashing on my enemies. And it doesn't matter that my guardian angel is a capybara. I don't know why. They don't explain it. Maybe it doesn't need to be explained. I'm sure I'll go back to something with deep, meaningful plots in the fullness of time. For how little I've paid for it, I feel like I already handsomely got my money's worth. Enjoy the powerful "nacho" cheese flavour dust and worry about nutrition tomorrow.

Games great, not sure what everyone is talking about regarding crashes, I have not had any such issues regarding that. Leader boards being hacked? sure, does it affect me? no, I'm not trying to get on the leader boards nor do I care for it. So its not a reason for me to be negative about the game. - Good: - Tons of anime and movie references which make this game fun. - Ability to push out some crazy builds with a huge variety of characters. - You can tell the devs had a sense of humor with the tons of abilities and weapons they threw into this game.

This game is buggy. This game has poor localization. This game... is one of the most fun games I've ever played. I have very high hopes for the future of its development.

I was fully expecting this to be a cheap scam by the devs using some pre-made assets. I was very wrong, and the level of commitment they have shown to supporting and improving their product could shame many AAA studios. Good stuff.
