Not a review of the game, but of time gone by. I don’t hate this game. I can’t. It gave me some of the best memories I’ve had in gaming — late nights with the squad, ops that went horribly wrong (or perfectly right), laughter in comms, and that sense of brotherhood only a few games can give. But time moves on. Veterans leave. Old friends disappear. Squads break apart. Now, I log in... and the server feels quiet. Something’s missing. Not because the game changed — but because we did. If you're new, there's still something special here. A deep, tactical, unforgiving game with endless possibility. If you're like me, maybe you’re just chasing ghosts in the fog of Tanoa. 10/10 for what it was, and what it still can be.

What can I say about this game that no one has before, This game is the reason i bought a PC and after 4673 hours i can say with out a doubt that this is the best Military game ever made. I have Stormed the beaches of Normandy, Fast roped on to the streets of Somali, Preformed Recce as the SAS on the Ho Chi Mihn trail, Battled on the High seas as a Pirate against the British, Destroyed the Rebels on Hoth and killed grunts and elites on the plant of Reach as an ODST and that was only the 1000 hours. If you want a game that has endless ways for you to play this is the game for you

2800 hours of single-player ARMA 3. I mean, I have a family, a job, friends, a live. I don't know how I managed to sink that many hours of gameplay into this game. This is my favorite single-player game ever (and I am playing computer games for more than 35 years). I can not rate the multi-player aspect of ARMA 3, just because I do not have the flexibility to be a regular in a community. ARMA 3 is not Battlefield where you can match up with strangers to have mindless fun for an hour. ARMA deserverse more. It deserves being played with a group that you know and that you can trust. As for single-player, the possibilites are endless. You just want a quick fight before going to the gym? No problem. There are ton's of scenarios out there and setting up a fight in the editor is no rocket science. You want a more involved mission? No problem. Lot's of missions and dynamic mission generators are out there, with Dynamic Recon Ops still being my favorite. But for me, ARMA shines when you are going on a long term mission. Be it an whole island war head to head with helis, jets, tanks, infantry, or an assymetric war where you are the invading force going against the lokal "terrorists" and try to install "peace". Or the other way around, where you start as a bunch of freedom fighters that try to fight their oppressors and liberate your country. In these modes I spend weeks on one playthrough. Don't let you turn away from comments, that the AI enemies makes for no fun gameplay, or that your AI teammates can not be controlled. Configure the AI in the options, install one or two AI mods, learn how to really control your AI teammates and you are good to go. If you are a single-player like me, buy the base game and at least the Apex DLC, play the base game missions and then go to YouTube and watch videos about essential mods to play with. Play scenarios by other peoples or go look for scenario generators like GlobalOps, ALiVE, Antistasi Ultimate, Ravage, Dynamic Recon Ops or RIS.
