Honestly its a fantastically fun game, Its a very simple game that doesn't have all too much meat on its bones and I wish it did have a bit more replay value and a better difficulty curve. There are some battles that will have you on the edge of your seat forcing you to make tough decisions such as whether or not you need to pull back a unit to heal even though it may leave you undefended for the moment This game is like a bar a chocolate, simple and delicious but you can't eat enough to feel full without getting sick

This is a great game! Very simple but very fun. Each decision you make barely feels like a big decision but ends up sending you down a relatively one-way path. That gives this game a subtle challenge that keeps it engaging. I bought this to play on the Steam Deck. Controls are excellent, but this one really uses the juice. If you planned on buying this to soak up an entire long plane ride, make sure you have a battery pack or an outlet (estimated ~4 hrs, as opposed to most other indie "cozy" games I play promising 5-10. haven't tried to tune). Not a big deal, as I need to take breaks from this game sooner than others. I find it to be rather intense despite its cozy aesthetic.

This is an incredibly polished game. Under the cute minimalist artstyle, there's stunning tactical depth. Good command of your troops makes or breaks your defense, and the game gives you lots of fun tools to work with and decisions to make. What impresses me most, however, is how clever and capable your little soldiers are. Infantry will pre-emptively shield themselves against archers, and the rearmost soldiers will cover their squad during a retreat. Pikemen will ready their spears toward chokepoints ahead of time and use them to hold off dozens of enemies. Archers will opportunistically pause to shoot volleys at enemies en route to new positions. I love the little guys, and love the game. I think you will too.

Very simple yet very versatile game with its wide variety of map designs and enemy types and traits forcing you to constantly change tactics. I wouldn't replace anything but i would probably add a fourth class and some new enemies and items if this game gets updated again i hope.

I can easily say that Bad North will forever be one of my favorite games. Its stunning visuals, combined with strategic and relaxed game-play makes for an absolutely wonderful experience regardless of the difficulty you play on. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to play, especially if you like strategy games and the like. In easier game modes its a breeze, and in harder it's a challenge. But I can guarantee that you'll enjoy it all the same, regardless if you're a casual or a try-hard. 10/10. Absolutely wonderful job developers <3 Keep it up.
