A simple RPG Maker game with absolutely amazing writing and a wonderful cast of characters taken from some of the most famous fairy tales. The story is very dark, and you have a surprising amount of freedom to do whatever you want with these characters and the world around you. The regular CGs, as well as the H-scenes, are really good too, featuring a unique hand-drawn art style that only gets better in the second game. Be warned, though: some of the themes can be quite disturbing, including child abuse, incest, rape, and bestiality. The game has multiple endings, and while they are all sad in their own way, completing all of them (Endings A-B-C-D) is a must if you want to fully understand the story, especially if you're interested in the second game. Ending D is the canon ending and serves as the basis for the setting of the second game. Important: the game must be patched using an `.exe` file available on the publisher's website. Simply start the game once so it can create all the necessary 1.0 files, then run the patcher and everything will be done automatically, updating the game to version 1.1. If you don't patch the game, around 90% of the content will be missing. The gameplay is also quite good, with a lot of freedom when it comes to creating your build. There is also a New Game+ mode if you want to replay it. The game isn't particularly difficult. In fact, after just a few hours, you'll be one-shotting most regular enemies, although some bosses can still be challenging. You can also raise the difficulty all the way up to +9 if you want a bigger challenge (+0 is the default difficulty). Overall, I highly recommend this game. If you're into dark fairy tales, mature and disturbing themes, strong storytelling, and RPG Maker games, this is definitely worth giving a try. Despite its simplicity, the writing, characters, art style, and freedom it gives you make it a very memorable experience. If you're planning to play the second game as well, I would especially recommend completing all the endings here first. I wrote this review after fully completing the game and unlocking all 65 achievements.
I actually genuinely have 70 hours in this game, and I have enjoyed the game to its fullest extent. This is my review. Do not disregard this as a simple H-game, if you like turn based RPG’s then this will be right up your alley. Download the patch from the official website, and choose “no cardinal acts” whenever you make your character, if that makes you uncomfortable, of course. But this game is genuinely amazing when you consider it is a $10 game made in someone’s basement. give it a shot if you like RPG’s, because there is something here for you. I went into this game thinking “it’s just another porn game” like everything else on this site, it’s gonna have a little to no substance, just have sex with all the girls you want then leave. But I was wrong. This is an actual honest to God RPG where you can have sex with everyone. You’re able to kill everyone. You’re able to make everyone a slave, or you’re able to have sex with no one and get to the end without interacting with anything sexual. This game has more substance than I thought it would, but the world, the lore, the build variety is honestly impressive. It is indeed closer to being something like a 2D dark souls, then an actual porn game. The world is surprisingly vast, having somewhere around 42 bosses, and a couple secret ones that don’t even have achievements link to them. I spent hours trying to see everything in this game, and I still haven’t. Example: there is a secret boss in an off beaten path location, that is not mandatory to explore. In this location, you were able to have sex with all of the characters, but that is not important. If you get a specific companion, and instead of having sex with her, you kill her, you will be able to fight a secret boss that is not linked to an achievement. I’ve seen basically no one talk about this, and I found it by pure coincidence. The combat is also engaging in a way most RPG’s don’t have. There is a weapon that hits every single enemy on the screen with its basic attack, and people say that is the best weapon in the game, but you can still miss. The build I have ended up with, is a weapon that will hit no matter what, but it’s not the best damage wise, so I stacked a bunch of buff items that increase my damage by 50%, but also lower my miss chance by 20%, but the weapon always hits, causing me to increase my damage to stupid amounts with zero downside, again, NO ONE ONLINE HAS EVER TALKED ABOUT THIS. This game is genuinely an amazing RPG, and I haven’t even gotten into the world building or the story, but both art also on the same level just on how impressive it is for a $10 game that is easily swept under the rug for being a porn game. PS: WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT INTERACT WITH THE COMMUNITY IF YOU’RE NOT INTERESTED IN THE PORN ASPECT. IT FEELS LIKE THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY HAVE, AND THEY WILL BOIL IT DOWN TO JUST BEING A PORN GAME.
