I feel like you have the people who loved it and played a normal 2 to 8 hours of this game and then the freaks who have poured in over a hundred hours. It's a really great game with fun mechanics, a good sense of humor and storytelling that it far more adult and thoughtful than the art style might make you think. It's just plain fun - and it's a great game to come back to once you've beaten it just for the fun of maxing everything out. Genuinely could not recommend more.

This game has a sickeningly tight grip on my soul. I cannot begin to explain how deep the rabbit hole goes regarding this game, on one hand it's a fun exploration and collection game where you traverse the Isle of Bugsnax to find the missing leader of an expedition lead by Elizabert Megafig and help the Grumps of Snaxburg with their personal weaknesses and fears. And on the other hand, you have a conspiracy, cover ups, a secret society that plans to control the Bugsnax and will kill or at the very least silence anyone who threatens leaking knowledge about the Bugsnax to the public or knows too much about the secret society, the Snax themselves are parasites that possibly grew to larger sizes due to Grumpus sacrifice, Grumpus Sacrifice (the burger is a war criminal) and possible undercover agents (looking at you Beffica.) Overall, a fun experience for the whole family, would recommend.

Kinda bug. Kinda snack. Kinda body horror. Kinda suprisingly good voice cast. Kinda fun mechanics of hunting and catching pokemon-like food-like creatures. Kinda unironically engaging and well-written story and characters. Kinda fantastic soundtrack and sound design. Kinda can't wait for more.

Only playing for 11 hours, All assets are made by hand, the engine they use is open source, minimal bugs on day one and never crashed, they continue to provide fixes for the game years after its release. THAT shows dedication to a game/project. Another actual W dev team and Game. (I get to pet Bunger in VR now that they added a VRMode, which the engine they use has none. So for their devs to FULLY MAKE A VR MODE FROM SCRATCH, is a MASSIVE W for this team. I would love to show more appreceation to them for making that possible.) You cant go wrong with Bunger, just buy the game already cause of Bunger.

This was one of those games that made me sad once it was over. I loved the characters, the story, the gameplay, and exploring the different areas. I got to know all the little critters that live on the island with me and help them with their personal problems. The bugsnax themselves have interesting and cute designs. Really hoping for a sequel!
