CALLUS is one of the strongest short-form psychological horror games I’ve played recently. The atmosphere and sound design are excellent, but what really makes it work is the story beneath the scares. The relationship between the mother and son becomes increasingly uncomfortable as the game reveals more, and the horror feels meaningfully connected to that relationship rather than relying on random jumpscares (though, there are certainly jump scares) It builds tension patiently, knows when to stay quiet, and then hits hard when it needs to. Several moments genuinely caught me off guard, and the final stretch stayed with me after the game ended. A disturbing and memorable experience from EMIKA_GAMES. Highly recommended for fans of atmospheric, story-driven horror. At first I was like, it's not that super scary.. It felt pretty decent.. Until I came at the second part.. That felt like the whole atmosphere changed 180 degrees. The game itself is a small game with a great atmosphere like u are used to from Emika_games. So I can highly recommend playing this. I have played all of Emika_Games releases and this was probably my favorite. The game can be completed in a half hour but I played through it a couple times to get all the achievements which took me about 75-80 minutes total. Visually the game looks really good and I am a sucker for christmas decorations so that was the icing on the cake for me! I played on cinematic graphics and it ran well. The audio was good although I turned the narrator down to 1% because it wasn't in English and it just was a distraction for me. The game audio helped keep the mood tense and suspenseful. The gameplay wasn't bad. You walked real slow just like almost every indie horror game so i wasn't surprised by that. The controls where basic and simple. The story line didn't suck me in but I was able to follow along and understand it. The game had a good amount of jump scares and they where not all predictable. Many times you have to walk back and forth to trigger the next sequence in the game and sometimes in doing so things would be different and scare me. All in all I give this game a 4.5/5 stars for what it is. Its a $5 USD game that on sale can be bought for half price. Its getting hard to find games that are this enjoyable to play for that price which is why I rate it high. For what your paying its a good game.

Dismemberment (Difficulty): It's a walking sim, so really easy, sometimes took a second to figure out where to find items and to go but not that much of an issue. Infestation (Bugs): No bugs noticed besides the ones on the asylum walls! Corpse Integrity (Story): Interesting story that I was curious about at the end, to me, what was real? Demon or Mother? Emika Games always as an interesting story with their games. Unsure if I missed something but sometimes my brainmeat goes a different route. Something Off About It? (Ambience): Tight, dark apartment settings always get to me, they did well to keep me uncomfortable and on edge, even when the location changed, still paranoid about what could be in the darkness or around the corner, did a very good job. How Long To Dismember (Playtime): About 30 minutes but I tend to look around a lot, could be faster if you just play straight through Value Of Meat (Price): Right now, its around $5, to me worth it, tend to have bundles and sales, snag it in a bundle, every game I played by Emika Games has always been quality and enjoyable experience Post Mortem Thoughts: Overall, had a good time playing, when it came out, I just snagged it and went in blind, no regerts, a little on the shorter side
