Finally broke this game in the other day - played all day long. Had a great time. Since this game is rocky on whether it continues to be developed or not, I felt the need to give a positive review for the hard work that has been put into it and the nostalgia that I'm getting from the game. Firstly, this game is a revival of Motor City (1994) (Or Old Timer) and maybe a little bit from Car Tycoon (2002). (Detroit (1993) was another amazing car factory game, but its interface and mechanics was completely different and I see no elements of that game in this.) I think what I like a lot between Motor City and Car Manufacture is that you let salesmen sell the cars than you checking an order book every turn. This game sticks to the early 19th Century as an option, which is great, as I really like that early period. Other than that, the music is catchy, even if there are only a couple of tracks, and gives a good feel to the game. What I will focus on is what I enjoyed as there are many areas of tweaks and balancing to be made that I am not interested giving my two cents about. Basically, I've found a lot of amusement with the game even if I have to intentionally stretch out my gameplay as the timing on this thing is off. In my first playthrough, I was getting car types of the 1930s and 1940s before 1900 even came around. So, it's not very balanced even though I do appreciate the pace the clock is going. The research needs to sync to it since this game is focused on known cars that you unlock rather than you building your own car - the world is still waiting for that masterpiece of a game. So, nothing about the car is customizable except you can paint them different colors if you want. I really enjoy how easy it is to build your factory and like the options available, especially the assembly line. I think the only thing that would be nice if it were different is the robot options. I think there should be some thought to the period on what automation looked like and the speed that it gave. So, as you unlock robotics over time it should get faster and more complex. Currently, it tries to pivot on metrics you aren't privy to, like weight. So, it's not super clear at first which robot arms you pick except by capacity and how much of the car your putting on the robotics to handle. It's really not too much of a deal as it just means how often maintenance needs to happen. Since there is no maintenance managing/scheduling in this game, I just pick the heaviest duty arms to build things and go from there. Other than that, it has some interesting "sketches" as there are some parts of the game that are visible but aren't accessible or finished. So, I'm sure if this game had its day, it would certainly have some neat things to play around with. So, for what this is, I love what I can play and I guess that's all that matters to me since I've played many car tycoon games and they all have the same problem: They don't know how to handle the complexity of car building, but certainly have neat ways to entertain you anyway.
Purchased this game to try it out sometime in 2025, have waited for updates for a while. So happy to hear that more updates are coming. Game has a lot of good content and is entertaining to play. It's worth the time. I understand why many people said it was abandoned. It is no longer. worth the money.
This is A grate game to play and pass time and it relaxing too, is fun to watch worker's put car's together I recommend to anybody I really like it ... Have fun to all Recap well I played for awhile 32hrs in game wen't as far as I can go and now waiting for Dev's to finish developing the rest of the game there is several thing's I see that is showing that is in development and hop they will add more room to build even bigger and add more car's and truck's to discover..
