Sept. 2025
I had a lot of fun playing this game. I think the price is fine, given how expensive games are nowadays... The main game-play is somewhat short but I think there is enough replay-ability or continued game-play after the end of the story to get your full money's worth. Overview · · ─ ·ʚɞ· ─ · · At the start of the game a lot of the tasks you have to do and actual 'management' relies on your character, and as the game goes on you are able to automate a lot of the repetitive tasks. I noticed some people in the replies describe the game as more 'idle' because of it, but I think a lot of games (especially of this nature) implement automation to avoid grinding and repetitive tasks, which I think this game has done well. Mid-late game you more-so 'oversee' your cafe and help out when its very busy, similar to how an actual business would run. I think that's great. Characters, Story & Cats · · ─ ·ʚɞ· ─ · · There are 5 characters in the game who are 'regulars' at your cafe that you can build friendship with and tell the story of the game. I think all of these characters, even the ones that you might not typically expect to like, all have great characteristics and lovable personalities. The story is simple, which is expected because the actual main game is somewhat short (I have just finished it at 16 hours of gameplay, it could definitely be completed earlier), but cute. One of the main reasons that made me not want to put the game down, or keep coming back to it, is of course the cats! I did certainly expect some really cute cats! But I was pleasantly surprised by the different personalities, traits, styles etc. of all the cats, especially the more late game cats. Each 'lure' for the stray cats you can adopt had me eager to see which types of cats I could get. I love the levelling up system and unlocking different traits for the cats and staff as well. Character & Cafe Design, Rating System · · ─ ·ʚɞ· ─ · · The character design is definitely lacking. You only get to choose your hair colour out of maybe 12(?) options, skin colour, and hair style. There are no advancements for how your character can be designed as you progress in the game, it is only what you choose in the beginning. You DO get to change whenever you want but honestly the options aren't great. The Cafe Design, however, is really cute! There are so many different themes, rugs, wallpaper, flooring, doors, windows, plants, dining sets... EVERYTHING, you can choose from. No matter what you like, or how niche it is, you will find something you like for sure. The game does sort of force you to incorporate different styles into your cafe to satisfy the wants/needs of your customers (if you care about that), but almost all of the designs of the furniture etc. are cute even if they aren't particularly your style. Although the game does make you do this, I actually really love that even the background characters and types have very specific styles and needs to satisfy them. At the end of each day you get a rating, and you can inspect each customer and see whats required to satisfy them. It can be quite vague things like 'books' and then you still have the freedom to choose which style of book/book stand etc. you want to use. I think the rating system opens up a lot of game-play and replay-ability encouraging you to try different styles and challenge yourself. Room for Improvement / Negatives · · ─ ·ʚɞ· ─ · · ~♡• Design - You can only see the style of your cafe top-down from one angle. There is no option to rotate the map and see the other sides, which makes using the wallpapers etc. less comfortable. ~♡• Design - A lot of the wall decor are cut off by other furniture. You can't place almost anything above your kitchen because 90% of the wall decor gets cut off and you can't move it up or down. ~♡• Design - Some of the furniture, notably kitchen equipment, fill up half a tile or 3/4 of a tile and sometimes do not match up completely, which, if you're a perfectionist with designing, can be quite annoying. ~♡• Characters - I wish there were *MORE* friend-able characters. Or opportunities to meet side characters (characters mentioned by the 'regulars'. Or even love interests... but I guess that would make it a much bigger game! I am happy with how the game is for sure, but if it was bigger it'd be even better hehe. ~♡• Shrine Development - Although this is the main focus/objective of your game, and everything you do is meant to be for the improvement of the shrine... you never really see any physical or notable changes to the shrine? I mean it's not that big of a deal because you rarely go to see it, but it just seems a bit unfinished on that part. It would feel a lot more rewarding if you could see physical improvements or if there was any sort of cut scene/event for improvements. ~♡• Shrine Goals - There is sort of a 'skill tree' for helping your cafe management, which coincides with the development of the shrine, however, it's never really clear how many things you need to unlock before the next milestone in shrine development or when you'll get an update or even what's needed to finish. Conclusion · · ─ ·ʚɞ· ─ · · Although I have listed quite a few areas for improvement/criticisms/things that feel lacking, it is only because I want *more* of the game. None of these things ruined the experience for me and I loved playing this game. It was fun, relaxing and, at points, exciting. I have finished the main story but I definitely feel like I will play the game more, trying out different designs, and attempting to maximum satisfy all customer types :)

A cute little cat cafe game. I adore all of the cat sounds and meows, and the guests teasing the cats are very funny. The only thing I don't like is that after the main story ends, it doesn't look like you can recruit any more cats. TwT It makes me reluctant to give the cats homes because otherwise how am I gonna run a cat cafe without cats?! It'd just be a cafe! haha. Otherwise, a really fun and relaxing game. Very chill vibes overall. Would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend getting this when it's on sale; I don't think the content or gameplay necessitate the current full pricing. ✅ The art style is super cute, and I love the amount of decor styles and options available for your cafe ✅ The cats are adorable, I loved being able to unlock different ones with different lures and I really liked the Cat Shrine area tree and being able to work on unlocking things depending on your personal preferences (food or decor or more cats, etc) ❌ I play A LOT of both genres and this is much more like an idle game than an actual shop management game in terms of content, mechanics, and gameplay ❌ There's no challenge whatsoever - you cannot fail, you can't lose, you can't screw up a save or mess up a day or anything like that. The same stuff happens every single day, you have no ability to speed up the time, and the way the employees in the cafe work means that oftentimes, you literally don't even need to be playing the game for things to continue on - you can just leave it on for a bit to complete each day and get currency to unlock more stuff ❌ It's just SO boring and grind-y after the first hour or so of playing - various currencies and Delight take so, so long to increase, and the cats leveling seems unbalanced in comparison to employee leveling (which means progressing the cats portions for adoptions is also extremely slow)

I had fun with this one. The gameplay loop is pretty much exactly what you'd expect – you sell food and drinks to customers, who pay you in resources that you use to buy upgrades and unlock more food items and furniture and whatnot. The art is cute, there's a storyline even if it's a bit of a light touch, and there are some NPCs with amusing dialogue (I particularly liked the punk and the business guy). It took me about 12 hours to complete the main storyline, and the 17.4 you should see attached to this review to get 100% achievements. The main critiques I have of this game are really of the Steam Deck support. I COULD NOT figure out how to exit the game from actually within the game; all I could do was save it (or wait for the start-of-day autosave) and exit the game from the Steam menu. Additionally, the game really needs some kind of confirmation dialog before letting you sell furniture/decorative items, because I accidentally sold sooooo many items in the early days (before I learned to be super cautious). Or at least an "undo", you know. But in the grand scheme of things these are minor complaints.

i was locked in for nearly 3 hours on the first launch. the creative currency system allows for nearly constant changes in customer needs like recipes and furniture. it's hard to describe but i think it's a cool way to keep the game from getting boring or too repetitive. there's a stardew valley-type beat storyline that is suspenseful and leaves you wondering what else will be uncovered. i feel sympathy for the characters even though i haven't been through their experiences and i just met them. to me, this means the dialogue is well-written. the cat puns are good but i don't feel like i'm getting whacked over the head with them constantly. i've always loved time management cooking games. this one is a little less time management, more strategy, more relaxed. the decorations are cute and the customer groups are fun. you have way more creative freedom with building and designing your cafe than i've seen in other games. i recc if you like restaurant sims but are also looking for something cute and relaxing with some compelling interpersonal dynamics mixed in.
