Not too shabby. I expected a circumcised version of game of fate for 5 bucks but it's as good if not better. It even has the card system. No wonder the publisher hiked up the price. The story has everything you can imagine - romance, spying, murder mystery, cults and all that jazz. I only have a few complaints. If you thought the phone machanic in similar FMVs was annoying, add emails to it. There are some scenes that can't be skipped even though you've already seen them, someone messed up the segmentation. The mini-games are more of a nuisance than a fun feature. And that's all I can think of, maybe the pacing in certain parts could've been faster.

Well executed with really good filming and good acting. Plot gets unnecessarily complicated as writer tried to get away from the typical story flow. Whoever decided to add the different card games can eat s*it.

EpicDream studio continues to set new standards for FMV storytelling. Although Cellveilance might not be their most ambitious production to date, and its overall production value feels lower than the previous games, it is still a great product that truly demonstrates how FMV games can be a compelling medium for telling stories which are more than just shallow romance. Highly recommended overall. My top highlights of this movie-game: 1. Unlike most FMV titles, Cellveilance's flowchart navigation mechanics are so complex that they (finally!) become a puzzle game on its own. With highly branching stories (up to 12 lanes in parallel, wow!), intricate preconditions required to unlock most alternative paths and multiple additional scoring systems, moving around the flowchart actually requires attention to story and some clever tricks. Beyond the video clips, the game really does feel like a rail yard puzzle at times. Virtually all alternative paths are engaging of fun enough that I found myself very motivated to explore every combination available. There is also a built-in card-battler minigame, sort of like a lite Heartstone/Gwent/Inscryption - nothing too complex, but a fun complimentary gameplay system. 2. Although romance elements are not completely gone from the plot, just _severely_ toned down, it's really refreshing to see a story that isn't at all designed with flirting in mind. Cellveilance tells an actually mature story that is complete on its own, discussing pharmaceutical patent law, personality cults, and common folk's struggles. I found the mystery elements and minor plot twists to be well executed, with plentiful nods to other pop-sci-fi works (you'll see clever references to The Organization, Reading Steiner, The Matrix, Source Code, and many more). It might not be completely original inspiration, but it is unique more than enough to make the movie quite enjoyable as a whole. Do note that some themes explored are very mature; beyond the levels of gore typical for detective dramas the game also features content that I'm mildly surprised to see allowed on Steam, such us scenes of undeniably implied semi-off-screen rape, and the player character literally talking someone else into suicide. Be advised. 3. Overall, the game is well polished. The videos are well made, with the lack of varied locations being made up for with acting highly above most FMV games (I was most impressed by 周紫煜's performance as Lin Tong, she almost humiliated other actresses in many scenes by conveying her character's nature so evidently; I was also surprised by 余冰慧's work as Xu Huiyun, I despised her uninspired performance in LiAA but it is now clear to me it was not her fault, even a good actress can only do so much with such an incoherent script). English subtitles are as good as they get in the genre, though it's still apparent they were mostly machine-translated. The soundtrack does reuse some tunes from EpicDream's previous games, but is great overall and does a great job at building the mood for key scenes, and I found some tracks quite memorable. I do have some minor complaints though. Some of the AI-generated videos in auxiliary scenes were really off, but fortunately only served artistic rather than storytelling purpose and last just a few seconds each. I really miss the BTS videos which are not included in this game and were always a fun watch. And finally I recognize the story may not be up to everyone's liking, especially the slow start of first 2-3 chapters which focus mostly on voyeuristic tendencies and corrupt characters, including the protagonist. This might not be the #1 2025 summer blockbuster it could have been, but I'll still be buying new EpicDream games on release day from now on.

Name : 监寓 Cellveillance Genre : FMV Thriller / Mystery / Psychological Drama / Dating Sim Approx. Playtime : Roughly 10.5 hours to fully unlock all endings Rank : A Mode : Offline-friendly (Note: online mode is required for players in China or maybe other regions) [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/bloodization/screenshots/?appid=3218580&sort=newestfirst&browsefilter=myfiles&view=grid]Every screenshot is a glimpse into the stories we lived and the lessons we carry. Pros : [*] The narrative unfolds in an intuitive and emotionally engaging way, making each decision feel meaningful and impactful. [*] Excellent production quality, featuring crisp 4K visuals and rich, live-recorded audio that enhances immersion. [*] Each of the five female characters is distinct and well-developed, encouraging players to peel back layers of mystery and motivation. [*] The game's branching pathways and multiple endings provide strong replay value and a chance to explore morally complex scenarios. [*] Karma and currency mechanics subtly influence the storyline, adding strategic depth to each interaction. [*] What I love most about Cellveillance is the subtle touch of guidance woven into its design. Once you've completed just one journey up to Day 5, the game starts offering hints during pivotal moments that cleverly nudge you toward solving the remaining puzzles. It's a rewarding system that respects player intuition while ensuring the challenges remain engaging without ever feeling unfair. Cons : [*] The game touches on disturbing themes including hidden surveillance, bloodshed, and psychological trauma, which may be unsettling for sensitive players. [*] System messages like “You have new email/message” appear too slow and feel out of sync with the game’s gritty tone, just bad UI. [*] Page-scrolling during story segments is noticeably sluggish, interrupting the otherwise intense pacing and emotional rhythm. [*] The card mini-games feel uninspired and poorly balanced. Players have no agency to control the outcome—they can't actively win or lose. Everything depends entirely on point values, making the gameplay feel passive and disengaged. [*] Because the level completion indicator exceeds 100%—some levels reaching 110% or more—it often creates unnecessary confusion, even when players refer to the remaining unopened plot points for guidance. So : Cellveillance offers a gripping and unconventional FMV experience that challenges players to navigate morally ambiguous waters and reckon with themes of control and surveillance. While it stumbles in some UI elements and mini-game execution, the game's emotional gravity and narrative complexity more than compensate. For fans of psychological thrillers or branching storylines, it's an immersive ride worth taking—at least once, and probably more.

Cellveillance – The most mature and impressive narrative from 2025 so far I finished the game this past weekend and I definitely recommend it. It's amazing to see how much EpicDream has evolved in their games. Unlike a typical FMV, I wouldn't suggest this to someone looking for a 100% lighthearted or "sweet" story. But if you're into a deep, mysterious, and suspenseful narrative that doesn’t shy away from darker or more serious themes, this is for you. This is a suspense story with touches of romance and fantasy. You play as the building manager, trying to make some money to help your mother. But things quickly get complicated, and you’ll face tough choices—some good, some not so good. The idea behind the story works really well for an FMV. The use of surveillance cameras combined with mystery is a great match. There were only two scene transitions that felt a bit off—like "how did we get here?" moments—but aside from that, the story about cults, death, good and evil was well-executed. As for the audio, it was decent. A few scenes had lower sound quality, but overall it’s above average compared to other FMVs. Audio is one of the hardest parts to get right in this genre, especially on a budget, so I can overlook it until better low-cost solutions become available. Romance-wise, none of the routes were bad. Some tackled mature themes in a thoughtful way, and I appreciated that as a viewer. My favorite routes were with Lin Tong and Xu Huiyun. The interface was smooth and bug-free. The game ran well, didn’t feel heavy, and the design was well-thought-out. I also liked the use of AI—it felt well integrated without being awkward. In the end, this is a solid FMV game that’s worth playing. I recommend it.
