Short length wave based dice battles. Lots of flexible unlockables. Systems showing up one by one at a nice pace. Smart dice manipulation thanks to the increasingly complexe mini scenarios, systems added from each character and the shop. It does what it has to do very efficiently. An excellent kind of minimalist game. But really, can the music be that good ? Some tracks are so epic you can't believe this kind of simple looking game can sound like that.

This game is one graphics overhaul away from being great. As is it's a lot of fun. Don't skip over it just because the graphics aren't amazing. Plenty of variety and strategies.

This is a really neat little game. It doesn't overload the brain, so you can multi-task while listening to a podcast or something while playing. With a lot of roguelikes, you have to commit like several hours to a run, and then if you die, you start over. This game has more like smaller missions of 15 minutes each where you level up a few times over the course of a single mission and start over on the next mission. It's actually really nice and refreshing, because you don't have to calculate ridiculous amounts of damage in the end game. The numbers stay really small (1 damage, 2 health, 2 shield, 4 gold, etc...). Really, my only major, major complaint is the fact that every time you finish a wave, you get to choose between 2 rewards (like a new ability, gems, XP, or gold), OR you can forgo a reward for a bigger end game score. It kind of sucks to deprive myself of the joy of becoming more powerful (the reward for beating a wave) in order to score more stars. I think this is kind of a fundamental flaw in the game, and the game's difficulty could have been adjusted with relics that can make the game easier or harder (harder relics earning the player a bigger score). Good job.

There is a hidden depth here. There is a lot of rng, but never so much that you can't look back on a failure and see what you could of done differently to eek out a win. A lot of content in this, it is worth your time and coin.

a roguelite where you assemble 6 sided dice with whatever faces you buy from the shop, so you upgrade/side-grade your dice over each mission. All its mechanics, though seem daunting, are more of a pick and choose style. Like you could have 1 music note on a die and use it to activate a heal ability every once in a while, or you can ABSOLUTLY SMOTHER EACH DIE WITH MUSIC NOTES UNTIL YOUR JUST SPAMMING JAMS which is fun. Its classes are more "suggestions" than anything. Like, if you play a lot with say the Bard or Necromancer like I do, and really like they're playstyle, you can equip their relics on a different class to make that class play more like your favorite classes. I like to play a Necromancer Bard hybrid with curses and music. Its got a lot of content for its price point, and its depth comes from its ease to play, hard to master gameplay. Like, its really easy to beat the game, but if your like me and like to 5 star missions, then its tough as balls lol.
