After finishing this game I have to say i would only reccomend it if crypitc puzzles really are your thing. The story can be quite confusing with multiple event happening on a timeline that would best be in a 2 hour lore video on youtube than walls of text in random places. The ui could use some improvements as I have gotten stuck multiple times because, for example, i dint scroll down on a photo. Its core gameplay is quite solid but all minigames are a 50/50 with some being pretty good and some being downright horrendous. I know my review sound negative, and it kinda is, but I overall had fun and just wish there was more playtesting being done on casual players so some issues could be ironed out. I will not spoil anything but I would say the game goes from a solid 8,5/10 to a 6,5/ by the end. Decent, but could be improved quite a bit.

Dude, only play this game if you can handle pretty much any triggering subject. This game has sex trafficking, child sexual abuse, suicide, mental illness, etc. I almost couldn't handle it with all the kid stuff. The subjects are very heavy and prominent. I love games with hacking, and Cyber Manhunt 2 was right up my alley. My only complaint is that I didn't really care for the mini games in this one, especially the end game. Anyway, if you love hacking games, I definitely recommend playing this, but please please check a full list of triggers before going into it. Your mental health matters!! 7.5/10

Stellar Game. I really enjoyed the first 4 chapters. The story was engaging I really enjoyed digging through everything and finding out the hidden twists and making inferences. The overarching themes of AI and corporate over-reach felt topical and for the most part well written even if they felt diluted by how many serious themes the game covered and how they were handled. I felt like chapter 4 suffered the most from this due to Stephen Hawking references and other jokes being put next to some of the most graphic stuff in the game. The mini games in the first 4 chapters also integrate well into game play and don't feel out of place, the one in chapter 3 in particular underlines the overwhelming horror of the dystopia that is being created. Chapter 5 gets off to a brilliant start as the player suspects what Clotho is before slowly finding out for sure as they investigate. I found one of the most effective moments in the entire game to be seeing the difference in the witopedia page from both computers. However as soon as the investigative section is over the game goes out with a whimper rather than a bang. The exposition dump feels too dense in the final section to really absorb much information and the boss battle is such a slog and departure from the rest of the game with few interesting mechanics that it just feels like a waiting game. Aside from my issues with the end of chapter 5. I found this to be a great and super engaging game and would recommend it to fans of puzzle deduction games like the golden idol series and obra dinn.

Incredible game. Much better than the original in all ways. Even the public opinion mini game is much better (the original reason I gave up on the first). Highly recommend!

Excellent homage to the first game, with many improvements! You can copy and paste automatically a lot of the text, only need to type a few things, and only a few clues per case aren't ones you collect but rather ones you figure out via the other clues. The story is interesting, and there are some decent achievements that can take some work. Unlike the first one, you can't really progress this time without finding all the clues. Really enjoying it. Keep in mind it's an in progress game and not yet finished at the time of writing this review.
