Title: 10,000+ hours in DayZ – Send help. Or beans. Preferably both. 🕒 Time Played: 10,000+ hours 👍 Do I recommend this game? Yes. No. I don’t know anymore. I’ve spent 10,000+ hours in DayZ. That’s over two actual years of my life crouching in bushes, dying of dysentery, talking to myself in Russian accents, and staring at cans of baked beans like they’re made of gold. This isn’t just a game. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a psychological experiment. It’s therapy. It’s trauma. 🧄 A normal DayZ experience: Spawn on the coast, half-naked and starving. Eat raw chicken because "how bad could it be?" Die. Respawn. Trust a stranger. Die. Become the villain. Get sniped from 400 meters by a guy named xXx_PvP_Monkey420_xXx Respawn. Find a can of food. No can opener. Die. ✅ Pros: The most immersive survival experience out there No match is ever the same – pure chaos Random encounters can be hilarious, terrifying, or deeply emotional Community servers keep things fresh It’s the best game you’ll ever hate ❌ Cons: – You will lose hours, days, years of your life – Still buggy after all these years (but hey, charm?) – UI is about as user-friendly as a Soviet toaster – Your friends will leave you for dead. Repeatedly. Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a polished, hand-holding, battle-pass filled, dopamine-drenched modern game… Run. But if you want something raw, unpredictable, frustrating, and completely unforgettable – Welcome to DayZ. Your life is pain now. 10,000 hours later, I still don’t know if I love this game or if it’s holding me hostage. 10/10. Would eat rotten peaches and die again.

Ever felt alone? miserable? wandering along the streets in a desperate need for any social interaction? just to find out that other people are jerks? well...Your in luck! now you can do just that while also running away from a group of zombies in a desperate try to drink water from a street fountain like a wounded gazelle. or bambee as we call them... 10/10 would forget to load my gun again

10 - 11 years ago I had a friend tell me about this mod that people were playing set in a zombie apocalypse (I know... they're infected..) he thought I should check it out. I gave the game a watch on yt, then played the mod, then standalone a bit and so on. I took a massive break from the game, mostly because, life, career, kids, etc. I don't remember what update it was when I came back to the game, but I believe it was around 1.23. There is no real reason why it shouldn't be an abject failure. There is no real story or purpose, It is unfair, it doesn't respect your time, it will not tell you anything. You will die over and over and when you finally get past zombies, starvation, dehydration, sickness, you will be shot in the back, at a well, as a freshie, for literally no reason. But there is nothing else like it. I've had more adventures and experienced more unforgettable stories than any other game I have played. It has made me literally sweat, shake, yell and randomly… made me much better at navigation on irl hikes. Its a lot like hunting, you mostly do nothing, looking at nature for hours and hours and hours, stopping because you thought you heard a sound… then, out of nowhere, for 5 - 10 minutes you experience all emotions, all at once, in rapid succession and you're hooked. Moral of the story, Its good, Sakhal is good, 1.26 and 1.27 have been phenomenal updates, cheating on official isn't as bad as some people like to make it out to be. The community by and large is very good, the community servers are as well. There are tons of streamers/yt’s making enjoyable content, if you like to watch what you play. And the modding community/map designers are incredible and we are lucky to have them in addition to the Dev team at BI. get it and get a mic
