Honestly, this game has the good and the less good. Nothing fantastic as far as survival games go, but I'd still recommend - when the game is on special currently. The good: The game looks and feels great. The zombies are not too tough, resources can be tough to come by, but that's kinda the point of this game. Survive not just by getting straight to endgame, but work for it. The not so good: Everything takes a long time to learn and get good at. No shortcuts in the tech tree means you must have the pre-requisites. For me, this just takes longer than I would have liked as a casual. Resources. I mentioned these weren't too difficult to come by, but they also can halt progression (i.e. looking for that one clay rock to continue the tutorial. Overall I don't mind this. It's a more hardcore, slower paced version of other zombie survival games, definitely has it's less desirable traits, but that's not without the good as well. Worth it fir the price, I think.

I bought this because it was inexpensive, and I like 3rd-person survival/crafting games like 'Conan Exiles', 'Soulmask', 'Nightingale', 'Once Human', etc. So far, it's a decent game--similar to 'Seven Days to Die', 'Vein', 'Night of the Dead' and other survive-in-a-zombie-infested-world crafting/building games . I recommend this game because it's a good value and can be fun; there is plenty to do, build, and explore, and it will take a while to get your character up to be the best that he/she can be. Also, there are three different maps (one small and two large) which add a bit of variety (a little). However, there are some design choices that could potentially lead to frustration. Visually, it's a nice-looking game (but could be better optimized). Some animations aren't great, but not bad, yet some are quite nice, like the tree-falling physics. Good character models and customization too. The tutorial was quick and easy, so jumping into the game and knowing what to do wasn't a chore. You won't need to watch lengthy youtube videos before playing (though there are some helpful tips, of course). This game aims to find the right balance between realism and fun. So you can build tools more quickly and easily than in games like 'Scum' or 'Survisland', where the process can be a bit tedious, but you won't be throwing tools, benches, and shelters together quite as quickly as in 'Conan Exiles' or 'Once Human'. Similarly, you can carry more than in games that focus on realism, but not as much as in games that emphasize action. The game does have some potentially frustrating design choices: certain skill levels are required to unlock certain benches, but you can't even get the needed level without the bench because you're not able to craft anything to start building up the skill. There are other ways to get the levels (books and merchants), but this could take a while and require a lot of walking, which might end up feeling frustratingly tedious to some players, like hitting a wall. Also, you don't get experience in skills unless you're at the workstation while an object finishes being crafted. So when you want to build up a skill, you got to sit there watching ingots being smelted or a spear being made, etc. That can be a pain. You could leave the crafting table and try to get back the moment it finishes, but if you miss that moment, no experience. Consequently, I sometimes walked away from the game for five minutes or so while ingots were being smelted so I'd get the experience points. Overall, I definitely recommend the game. Just be aware of the minor weaknesses I mentioned as of this writing.

This game do need some work and there are the usual early-acces problems. But I really like this game, so I want to get you some information if you think about buying this game. This game is for you if: - You like some challenge, it can be difficult for new players (but don't worry you can change some options to have a fair chance) - You like to figure things out by yourself (The game only teach you the very basics) - You can live with some glitches and decorative bugs. The movement of the zombies can sometimes be a little bit rediciolous. - You can handle a little clunky battle system (at least with melee weapons) - You like to play with slow process (I'm sure you can unlock the tech-tree faster if youre more in the game, but for me it did takes time to find the ressources, get the knowledge, etc) - You like a functional but not detailed Character-Editor - You like to travel maps with some routes with sometimes not much to see or do. - You can live with houses and buildings with not much interior, but there are also very interesting places to explore What I really like: - The game feels a little bit "slower" in making progress, a play-style I really prefere. - The building and crafting system is really extensiv, you can build by grid or relatively freely - Combining ingredients like mushrooms, meat, water, herbs, etc to make different types of food (you need carbohydrate and protein to stay healthy and strong) - You can get sick fast by so many circumstances (some will fade over time other can be cured by medicine but you have to find or craft them) - You can decide to fight against also "special" zombies or just the "normal" ones (which I prefer) This game obviously needs some work, but I think it's a very good deal for an early-acces game, if you can live with some bugs and unpolished features. For me, it's one of the best zombie-games, I played since yet.

I don't doubt this is a s&%t game. Feels like the devs have inverted eyeballz with dyslexic fingers or something. However, I'm a guy with low expectations. Set the bar low? This game is holy hell fun as f&%k! Play the game for six hours without end, you're a lier if you didn't have fun. I did, and tons upon tons of it. Cat Play Studios, please keep going with this game. Few years more, tunes will start changing. Trust- Zomboid and 7 Days had the same issues. It's only bad for now. Time will reach PERFECTION

As a lover of survival and base building games, this is ideal for me. The game comes with two maps with more than enough terrain/areas to explore and collect supplies. Zombies roam around everywhere and there is another enemy patrolling which will attack on sight. The play options are multiplayer or single with difficulty set by the player.
