Fun game, absolutely not worth $45. Devs are out of their minds. Recommend on sale for anything less than $20. Asking for more on a game that's underbaked and dated since before full release is pure greed. EDIT: For additional context, I purchased this game originally in October 2014. I have 420 hours in total over the course of 12 years. I am saying for 12 years of development that I have witnessed and been a part of it is not worth more than $20. I have seen slow drip feeding and rollback of content, broken promises, and half baked ideas during this time. I still vividly remember streams where fun pimps talked about spending months on development of tree forts and tree bases only for them to not be in the game at all with over a year of development being scrapped. The lack of diversity in the environment and zombies still as well. Also recommending and giving a negative review are two different things. I recommend the game, It's fun. However it is in my opinion not worth the price listed.
Not that anyone that likes zombie games hasn't already played this one, but it's one of the best out there. I do recommend but so many issues with the game as a whole, and issues that weren't a problem in the beginning. The game for one is fun, slightly addictive but the Devs have seriously gone backwards with support and improvements. 7 Days used to be a janky, but great experience where early-mid tier items were accessable but not world breaking, but now, access to even very basic weapons seems to be a serious struggle. I haven't for a very long time with this game (nearly 10 years now) ever been jumped and killed on the 2nd day, but since the recent update, this current version is a real challenge. The devs seem to seriously be lacking in the "feedback is the best tell of quality output" department. Leave what was great, add more content, see how the community reacts and then off that trent, modify. Devs just continue to nerf every enjoyable aspect of the game that was what got the original users into the Game. I think generally, it's a great game, really well worked in some aspects but can get old in others when devs keep amending the intended playthrough style the community has adapted to. A good purchase when on sale, but I expect heading into the future, more and more people will be returning to previous versions to enjoy an untampered version of an otherwise great survival game.
