Gameplay The core of the game is all about negotiating prices. Every customer is different, and you need to use your skills (and maybe some luck) to figure out an item's real value and get the best deal. You can hire experts to spot fakes, upgrade your shop, and even get involved in auctions. It's a satisfying loop of trying to outsmart everyone to build your empire! Graphics The game has a charming, slightly cartoony visual style that fits its theme well. It's not about super realistic graphics, but the character designs are unique and expressive, which helps a lot during negotiations. The shops and items are clear and get better as you upgrade. Audio The audio is mostly made up of background sounds of a bustling pawn shop and the subtle noises of negotiations. It's not a flashy soundtrack, but it helps set the mood and immerse you in the daily grind of buying and selling. Story While there isn't a huge, overarching story, "Dealer's Life 2" focuses on the narrative of your pawn shop's growth. You start small and build your way up, with random events and character interactions adding little stories to your journey. Your choices also influence your reputation, which affects how people deal with you. Difficulty This game can be quite challenging, especially early on. You start with little money and have to learn the art of negotiation quickly. Spotting fakes and dealing with tricky customers requires good insight. The progression to a big empire takes time and smart decisions, so it's a test of your business savvy!

I am quite happy with this game, mainly because as I progress I keep shouting at the customers for their won stupidity at asking me the SELLER a PRICE in a PAWNSHOP, I get more and more baffled everyday at how they allow me to give them a +235% price and just take it, which might not seem big until you get to products worth millions, then you begin asking: HOW ARE YOU SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DUMB. After you see them go from 400k to 175k because why not. I love this game because scamming the ♥♥♥♥ out of these people is so stupidly outwordly it brings me an immense amount of joy and happiness, that or greed might be overtaking my mind, body and soul, I enjoy whatever one of those is happening anyways. Also, great character designs, artstyle and references, there are A LOT of references.

You tell people their legendary family heirlooms are actually worth like 3 euros. You start in a literal shack, and haggle your way up to a tycoon empire by hoping that the totally real item you just bought for 10mil isn't actually a painted stick. It's honestly a dangerously addictive loop of lowballing, getting scammed by costumers, and trying to find the endless pop-culture references hidden in your inventory. Amazing game.

You know those TV series which don't know when to end on a high note so they go on and on until they are no longer bearable to watch? This game has the same problem in the late game where it slowly becomes a monotonous grind with nothing new to see. But until then it's fun: good music, good mechanic (yes, singular, that's intentional), decent character progression and a ton of cool references. I can safely recommend unless maybe if you're a completionist and need to finish the game and get all the trophies to be satisfied.
