Found this game by luck as I wanted to get something similiar to REPLACED (coming in March) I was not disapointed at all. Great game and music :)

Personally I would describe Dex as chill and fun. It's not the best game out there but I enjoy it, and I find myself coming back to replay it once every few years perhaps. It has its flaws sure but I think people get too caught up in the idea that games should be 'perfect'. Regardless of any balance issues or glitches I think this is an interesting game with good world building that would be worth checking out for people who like cyberpunk style games. Besides, its not exactly long and if you don't feel like it after a bit Steam refunds are valid within 2 hours of play time.

Not really liking this game but eh Steam reviews only counts positive and negative anyway. In terms of indie games with cyberpunk genres in 2015-2018, I think Dex skews in more positive light but as of 2025 there are better alternatives. Combat is pretty clunky, you need to time your hits just right to damage opponents or they are just going to block your attacks until the heat death of universe. Gunplay is also handicapped by holster mechanics and no movement when reloading. Ultimately, just build your character to hack opponents for stun and takedown or dropkick and give em face full of buckshot. Performance wise, some weird stutters in population centers but fortunately not in combat areas. I think Dex shines at the most is how some of the sidequests connected to each other rather naturally and the characters are well constructed that fits the overall crapsack world of Dex. If nice combat system is rather high on your list, there are better options but if you story and/or worldbuilding enjoyer you might enjoy this one.
