GOATED game. It's almost like digimon spent their time and effort making their games good instead of patenting game mechanics and suing competitors.

It's like if the Pokemon company actually cared about making a good game with a good story.

Love the game! Just a small suggestion for the devs — could you add a shuffle option for the music? There are so many great tracks (even DLC ones!) and it’d be awesome to hear them all randomly instead of just one.

I am going to steal 2 lines from people I saw in other reviews. This is better than anything GameFreak has put out in the last 10 years and this is the game Pokemon fans have been wanting. I am unfamiliar with Digimon mostly, I haven't really done much with it since I was a kid, but the game has some adult themes, combat/animations are fun, the game is mostly voice acted, and there are so many Digimon to play around with. If you are looking for a monster battling game but are tired of the pokemon no effort games, this one is the way to go.

Great game - easily the best Digimon game to date, but really dishonest DLC practices by Bamco, I'd even go so far as to call them predatory practices. There are some parts of the game that definitely need more QOL improvements (Digifarm and surrounding UI issues with it), but those can be addressed via patch. Very fun, feels like you're playing through a high quality Digimon movie. Now onwards to the biggest issue with the release/community: DLC AND DISHONEST MARKETING To market and sell an "Ultimate" edition that contains "All" DLC, and then to drop day 1 DLC a few minutes after launch that isn't included in the "Ultimate" edition is beyond dishonest. It's scummy and spits in the face of your supporters. The anime song pack and the 3 extra Outer Dungeons should have been included in the $120 USD Ultimate Edition package. Had Bamco been up front about this, the community would likely not be as upset as it is surrounding this issue. TLDR: Buy the base game, don't buy into their "Deluxe" or "ultimate edition" it doesn't contain all of the DLC (Unless you want to cut out a ton of the grind, then the outer dungeons will help, but you could also play the game on "story" difficulty to just experience the story and not have to spend any extra).
