The game was really enjoyable! The jumpscares were crazy and very well timed, and the overall atmosphere was genuinely creepy. I had a great time playing and discovering what was going on with the house and Lester. The buildup throughout the game was great. I really enjoyed slowly uncovering the story and figuring out what was happening. That being said, I wasn’t a big fan of the puzzle section at the end. In my opinion, that kind of puzzle doesn’t really fit this type of horror game. I would have preferred something quicker and more connected to the storyline to wrap things up on a stronger note. The part with the red button, in particular, felt unnecessary to me, and that’s actually where I ended up closing the game. It also made the demon feel a little less scary, especially with the amount of jumpscares happening during that section. There were just a few too many for my taste, and it took away from the tension rather than adding to it. Maybe other players will enjoy that part more, but personally, I found it a little too much and not as fun as the rest of the game. Overall, though, I had a great experience. The atmosphere, buildup, and scares were really well done, and for the price, I’d say it’s absolutely worth it. I’d rate it around 8/10! Follow me on Twitch to see some clips reactions ! PROS + Strong psychological horror atmosphere. + Interesting premise that gradually becomes more unsettling. + Good use of environmental storytelling. + Detailed interiors and locations create a believable setting. + Story keeps you curious about what is actually happening. + Effective first-person presentation and cinematic moments. CONS - Very short experience. - Some gameplay sections can feel clunky. - Certain sequences can be frustrating. - Limited gameplay variety. - Some horror moments rely heavily on scripted events. VERDICT Coincidences? feels like the kind of horror game that is best approached without expecting something overly ambitious. It has a simple premise and doesn't try to turn itself into a huge horror experience, which actually works in its favor. The game knows how to keep things moving and doesn't overstay its welcome, making the overall experience feel compact rather than unfinished. What I appreciated most is that it left me with enough curiosity to keep going without constantly explaining itself. It isn't a game that completely blew me away, but it gave me a pleasant little horror experience and was easy to finish in one sitting. Overall, Coincidences? is a decent short horror game that knows its limitations. It doesn't do enough to become particularly memorable, but it also doesn't feel like a waste of time. If you're looking for a quick horror experience rather than something deep or lengthy, this one is worth a look. 3.5/5

This game is pretty good, especially considering it is the dev’s first game. Monster is well designed, story is pretty well fleshed out, (I did not notice any plot holes, though I was curious why there was a children’s room when I saw nothing about a child) My only gripes about this game is that there needs to be auditory accessibility added. Especially during the end game, it was very hard to hear the monster footsteps for me, and the game from what I saw had no support for those that are hard of hearing. To continue, the last portion of the game was aggravating. The mechanic for the final boss if you will became irritating quick simply because if you died you lost all your progress that you made during that section. The game was a cake walk up until that point so it seemingly came out of nowhere. I think either make the game so it saves your progress if you die (you keep keys upon death) or make it so you only need 4 keys or so. It was just… too much. Even the people I was streaming for agreed that it required a lot of patience that simply a lot of people will not have. Overall, aside from those, the game was good and worth playing. Much potential here.

Coincidences ended up being exactly what I expected... and honestly, that's not a bad thing. I originally added this game to my wishlist after seeing it in the upcoming releases. It looked pretty decent from the trailers. Not like it was going to be the next horror masterpiece, but good enough to catch my attention. After playing it, I'd say that's exactly where it landed. The story follows a character who, after getting hit with a sudden rent increase, moves into a suspiciously cheap house that's tucked away deep in the middle of the woods. Now, if you're anything like me, alarm bells are already going off. A house in the middle of nowhere that's unbelievably affordable and has work nearby? If it sounds too good to be true... it probably is. Turns out, there was a very good reason the rent was so cheap. The atmosphere does a solid job of building tension throughout the game, and there are quite a few good jumpscares mixed in along the way. There are even a couple of moments that had me scrambling in full panic mode, which is always a plus in a horror game. While it may not be one of the biggest or most polished horror titles out there, I don't think it was ever trying to be. It's a shorter indie experience that knows what it wants to do and executes it well enough to keep you entertained from beginning to end. Overall, I had a good time with Coincidences. It's not going to crack my list of all-time favorite horror games, but it's also nowhere near the bottom. If you're looking for a fun, shorter indie horror game with a creepy atmosphere, a handful of solid scares, and a story that keeps you curious, I'd say it's definitely worth the time and money.

This one is pretty good! Strong beginning with a simple story (even tho theres quite a bit of plot holes). Tension was pretty good, imo jumpscares started out REALLY well but got a little old and predictable towards the mid portion of the game (some still got me tho). The random "Five nights at freddys" mini game was unexpected, but not bad! I just wish it tied to the ghost/demon, story somewhat to have significance but still stressful. Overall i think this was very worth to try once, pretty creepy and unsettling for sure, it nails it.
