Fun game, good lore, well designed boss rush. short but no time wasting mechanics a full playthrough and newgame plus playthrough for alternate ending took me 8 hours.

I like the fact it is just a boss rush and you dont have to find hoards. Also there is no way to farm power. You either beat it or you don't. Its a pretty high skill game though.

I would recommend the game if you really like souls style games, however I'd say for most people only get it on sale. It is essentially a boss rush, there is basically no game beyond the boss fights, just walking from room to room. overall the bosses are neat, i liked the design of them, and had fun playing the game. that being said I think the game is best described by a comment that i saw somebody else write in that "the game demands perfection from you, but wants you to forgive it's imperfections" if you decide to get this game just know that it can be frustrating with some wonky hitboxes and mechanics. it is difficult like other games that are known to be difficult but is not quite as tight as those games are. ALSO beware if you are someone like me who likes to 100% the achievements as it has VERY frustrating achievements to get, such that i wont even attempt it because i dont like the game enough to want to play it as much as i would have to.

I've so far only played for 0.3 hours...but I've also beat the first enemy/boss (was surprised from other reviews that this is really a boss gauntlet-type game?) Some would say, "You haven't played long enough to review accurately!" Others would say, "How'd you beat the boss in that amount of time?" Honestly, I'm as surprised as you are, but I think I might, just maybe, slightly have an idea as to how I beat it...I went with the recommendations the game gives you during combat. Just trust the fact that preconceived notions about games in general, especially a game like this, will kill you faster than any "skill issue." You could be the best player ever, but if you don't accept the fact that this game might play a bit differently than you're used to, it's going to kick you to the curb, because you didn't play by its rules. I think the age of, "Git gud," is over. The more apt phrase is, "Adapt and learn." If you're up for the challenge of this overarching type of game in the first place, at all, then I'm sure you can survive and thrive here, and enjoy it, if you try it *for what it is*.
