This collection bring a lot of nostalgic pieces from the flash game era. It brings EBF1 and 2 as well as the mecha dress up, cat cafe, and more. I love the adventure story as well as bullet heaven but this game to get all the achievements is actually very hard and I was giving up but I didn't. It is a wonderful game but I would only give it a 6/10 with a diffculty of 9/10.

Mecha Dress Up Game -It's hardly a game. It just lets you combine various pieces to create a mech. -The achievements are annoying and cryptic. Pretty much my entire time with this game was just copying what a guide said to do for the achievements and then moving on. Brawl Royale +It lets you skip the animations, so it takes way less time to get through a second playthrough or whatever than it otherwise might have. -It's only minimally a game. It's just a reaction speed test. -It has multiple rounds with less time to react to the prompt each round, but even if your time in earlier rounds would have been fast enough to clear a later round, you still have to clear the later round anyway. -Some of the achievements were kind of annoying to get. The Kitten Game +It has an autoclicking feature. -The autoclicking feature is ever so slightly slower than it could have been, making it a tad unoptimal and hard to use when going for 100% completion. -Manually clicking will blow up your finger at some point. -Even the developer admits this one was way too hard and everybody hated it. -Some of the achievements are just plain tedious. Epic Battle Fantasy 1 +No grinding required. +Pretty much skips straight to the good part you actually play RPG's for in the first place. -The game is a bit too hard. -You can't save. If you made it to the last boss on hard after a 2 hour slog and never bothered with antidote potions because in 99% of RPG's they're worthless, only to discover that this is the 1% exception and they're really really nice for this boss specifically, then looks like you're not winning this thing, too bad for you, start over and do the entire game again just so you can pack some antidotes this time, because there's no loading up your last save, and the built in checkpoint for the last boss is only after your last chance to visit a shop. -Some of the achievements are just pointless busywork. Epic Battle Fantasy 2 +Still no grinding required. +Still just gets to the good part. +The game has a perk system in place where you're offered somewhat random perks, and the game goes out of its way to offer you perks related to abilities you actually use rather than just giving you useless trash unrelated to your playstyle. -Not as hard as the first game, but still a bit hard. -There are only two chances to save in the game, which is better than none at all, but I still would have liked more. -Overall, has many of the same flaws as the first game but just lessened rather than removed. -Has my personal single most hated achievement in the entire collection asking you to scan every enemy in the game and make sure you don't miss one. Bullet Heaven +The game is 99% fair. None of the enemies rely on cheap tricks or gimmicks, and the only times I said "Oh, come on, really?" seemed to be unintentional design oversights (E.g., I was higher on screen than was probably intended and got hit by an enemy that spawned close to the top out of nowhere), and in any case, this only rarely happened. +Mouse controls are good. +incredibly skill based. Every time I died, I had no one to blame but myself. -Certain characters have too hard a time dealing with enemies anywhere other than directly in front of them, which isn't great if the entire area beneath the enemies is riddled with bullets. -I'm sure somewhere behind the scenes my damage upgrades did something, but honestly the upgrade system was a bit opaque, and I could never really tell how much damage I was doing to most enemies or if my upgrades really meant anything. -Personally, I also wish there were an easy way to determine which character has the best damage per second. -Some of the achievements were ridiculous, and special mention to not killing anything in survival, and I'm still not entirely sure where those two kills came from on my first attempt (bombs that blew themselves up but are technically coded as enemies maybe?) but all i can say is, I thought for sure I had not pressed the fire button. Adventure Story +The controls are very good, and your character's movement "just works" and feels good and just so much stuff that I wish more platformers cared about and did well. +Camera is hard centered on your character at all times, which doesn't look flashy, but it's functional, and I absolutely appreciate choosing functionality over looks here. +-The collectibles are only mildly a pain in the butt to gather, and I did have to search certain levels top to bottom two or three times over to find some of them, but I did find them all in the end without even using a guide, which is mostly because I couldn't find a proper guide that actually listed them anywhere, but that's beside the point, and I'm never able to find all the collectibles in a game without using a guide. +Related to the previous point, none of the collectibles are hidden in areas that are that difficult to find, and I kept waiting for the "And then you jump off of this obscure corner of the level to what looks like certain death in order to land on a platform that you can't see ahead of time" treasure chest to show up, but it never did. -The game relies almost entirely on fake difficulty. Basically, you'll be trying to do one task (like platforming or something, say) and then the game will throw something else at you entirely that you also have to deal with at the same time (like an enemy out of nowhere, say), and the end result feels like playing an incredibly easy game while at the same time your little brother is trying to snatch the controller out of your hands, and the whole game would be trivial if not for arbitrary handicaps. -The basic enemies are annoying to deal with, and there is just no good reason you should have to stand still and whack a flying enemy, watch it get knocked away from you, wait for it to fly close to you again because you're on a ledge and can't really approach it safely, whack it again, and repeat the entire process, like, 5 times just to kill one thing, and honestly I really wish the enemies had all been one hit kills. -I almost don't even see the point of any magic besides healing because you run out of MP so fast anyway. -Even mildly bad achievements are still bad, and I just did not feel like finding everything, honestly. Cat Cafe +The game is not overly difficult to the point where you have to spend numerous hours practicing it just to clear one minor objective, but I was able to complete all the subobjectives to get the achievements just after buying enough upgrades. -This seems to be just some random mobile game meant to be super grindy in order to milk money out of players by selling powerups. Real money transactions seem to have been removed in this version and the game was apparently rebalanced to be less grindy, but still, a fixed up version of a grindy game still isn't as good as a game that was never grindy to begin with. -There is almost 0 way to tell which upgrades are the best ahead of time, making it trivially easy to buy the worst ones first and end up going about the whole game inefficiently. -Even if all you need is to buy enough upgrades to eventually get through it, it still takes a while to get them, and so the achievements (Are you noticing a pattern, yet? AGAIN with the achievements. Seriously, this entire collection was such a pain in this department) are kind of a chore. Overall verdict I would say play this, but only for Bullet Heaven, and just ignore the entire rest of the collection, and I'd say Bullet Heaven is probably worth getting the entire collection for, and it's honestly the only game here that I would recommend on its own, while all of the other games I would probably not recommend if Steam had a way to review each one individually.

Nice little nostalgia trip. Immature but charming, it's own way. There are some rough gems here, and for those that played these on Newgrounds back in the day, the developer commentary helps tie it all together.

One person, Matt Roszak, presents better & funner games here than million dollar studios. What I love especially is the sheer difference between Epic Battle Fantasy 1 & 2. 2 adds so much more than the first one, it's textbook game design, I love it!
