I really LOVE this game and I am so excited to see what the devs will do with it. You can tell its still under development - I've came across a few minor bugs here and there. I got my tools upgraded and it left the originals in my inventory and I couldn't delete them, sell them, or anything. They were taking up space pretty much. I think a few things to tighten it up this game will be amazing. I love love love the idea of farming your own planet and being able to upgrade your ship to go to other planets to farm! How cool is that! 100% would reccomend for anyone who loves cozy farming games!

The game is incredibly charming and the game loop is pretty obvious once you get into the game. It's true that you might feel a bit lost at first, but there is always something to do that might become handy at some point. I can't imagine how many things you would be able to do in the future, but in this first version I got hooked for more than 8 hours. This is gonna become a freaking awesome game after a few updates. 🥰

This is a fun little game which, while it clearly borrows heavily from Stardew Valley, is unique enough to stand on its own. It is very much an alpha game right now, though it is fairly clear of bugs. It lacks some basic quality of life features like a control customization or even list of controls. There's a lot of content which is only available via a travelling merchant right now, and some of the upgrades seem to be locked behind random chance. Other content appears to be present, but not ready yet, so you can for example earn advanced sprinklers which you cannot place. I'd like to see the game continue to grow unique features, as it is very generic right now. The mines in particular are too much like the mines in Stardew Valley, and it needs to become unique and experiment a bit to carve out its own niche. I like the concept of being able to transplant seeds onto the home planet and customize it and I think there is a lot of potential to explore with that. The plot also needs to become unique. Right now it seems too close to the plot of Stardew. Big evil corporation is messing with a small town, and the new farmer will save it seems to be the direction. The screen captures of the wedding roadmap item seems to be another likely carbon copy. They would do well to come up with their own things, like weird alien weather events, sci-fi weapons, unique products to farm etc. The sci-fi genre provides a ton of opportunity to do unique things, and I hope the game finds its own way. Still, there is a lot of potential here, and the core gameplay loop is tried and true fun. I'll recommend this, but just barely. For what you get right now, the game is overpriced given its very early state. I think it will probably be worth its price tag when they complete their roadmap however.

After playing Farlands this evening, i must say the potential this game has is incredible and i'm greatly looking forward to future updates and after reading the road map i'm going to throw my 2 cents in on what i would like to see down the road. 1. Jumping and Swimming. (After recently playing Fields Of Misteria, the ability to jump and swim is an absolute game changer as it adds so much more depth to the experience and as well as a huge QOL improvement to the player, it also unlocks so much more potential for gameplay.) 2. Crop Variety. (Self explanatory, but i'd love to see more variety of crops and crop types as well as tools and equipment that could be used or taken advantage of for those new crop types or just farming in general as you advance.) 3. Weapons and Armour. (I understand at the moment you don't have weapons in the game, but with the Sci-Fi theme of the game, weapons and armour such as plasma swords, lazer beam crossbows, force-fields, galaxy armour and so on could offer a relatively fresh and unique way to tackle the mines.) 4. Story. (So far the story seems like it could be promising and i like the direction i think its being taken, however i would like to see more than; company bad, you good and i hope there's much more mystery to the story overall.) 5. Planets. (The Planets although very limited at the moment show promise, however i would like to see some crazy planets such as a eyeball type planet and black hole type planet that would hold huge mystery and the inhabitants there would be very... interesting?) 6. Traversal. (I like the simplicity of traversal, however i think it could do with a lot more polish as i'm sure it will receive in the coming months/years.) 7. Interactive elements. (I'm not sure if this is planned and i'm sure it is, however i would like to see a lot more things being able to be interacted with, as it brings the world(s) to life and adds so much more than you could possibly imagine to the player's experience.) I could go on and on and on, but Farlands could genuinely blow up in the future with such a great art style, a relatively unique twist on the farm/life sim genre, great humour and a potentially intriguing story. I wish the devs all the best, i hope Farlands gets all the love, attention and creative idea's it could potentially get and i can't wait to see what holds for the future for this really cool project! Thank you for reading.

This game in its current state is pretty much the bare bones. However, it promises to be a great game once it's finally released. Up until this moment (v 0.1), it's no more than a demo, but a fun one nonetheless.
