Its a decent JRPG if you like the Fate Franchise, but a horrible experience if you plan on 100% it like it did. No matter what, this is NOT a Musou Game in my eyes. You dont fight against thousands of enemies, more like...10 - 20 per small Area. It has very few Bossfights they like to reuse A L O T ! Get ready to fight against Berserker 50 times. No Forts to capture, nothing. The Gameplay is also very simple but its okay once you get the hang of it. Youre extremely weak at the beginning, especially if you start with harder difficulties right away. The Progression and Growth comes down to your Skilltree, which is fine, and a very poor Gearing System, which they might as well could have left out. The Story is split into multiple Endings. Unfortunately they are overall very similar and sometimes even feel a bit rushed. The Story as a whole is also just okay? It never really hooked me even tho im a die-hard Fate Fan. So for me, this Game was a 6/10. Im finally free.

I'm kind of a sucker for the hack-and-slash genre, even though I really don't play enough of them. I haven't taken the time to play the side content yet or purchase it but it is on my list of things to do, eventually, and perhaps that time might be coming sooner rather than later seeing as they have decided to permanently lower the price of the game and the Season Pass. Though it helps to have some understanding of the Fate franchise, in all its vastness, it isn't actually necessary to get entertainment out of the game for those new to it. The story itself is self-contained in its own plot and enjoyable by that alone. None to spoil here but a very good plot for what I saw in the forty or so hours I played it to the completion of the original story. Gameplay itself is excellent and there is a lot of content that has quite a wide array of difficulties, depending on if you want to do that or not. Not to mention base difficulty can be increased or decreased for your own accessibility. Those at home with these type of games will be fine likely be fine with the original difficulty on a first playthrough but there are harder difficulties if you're looking for them out of the gate. Like many things KT on their slashers, there's a lot of variation and overall fun things to unlock and play with as well as a wide variety of enemies and bosses to carve your way through. Even after the thousandth one being cut down, you'll likely not get bored very fast. Not only are there many enemies to take on but there are plenty of other characters to take the role as. Although the vast majority of the game tends to land you in the main protagonist's role, there are other times and challenges that exist to unlock where you can do so much more in the shoes of another to vary up your gameplay. Overall, I don't think many will be disappointed and now that the game has had a permanent price drop for the base game and the season pass, there's a better reason to bite at it and perhaps yet another reason if a sale happens in the coming months for the holidays.

I can recommend it only for Fate fans because it's not so good. The story is a typical Fate story which is actually interesting but very similar to other Fate titles. The game is way too slow and felt unnecessarily. So, early you will figure out the game is repetitive. The regular moves are cool and fast and the special moves are SO COOL but when it goes to the battles they're take forever because the enemies have too much health. The towns are bland, same goes with the quests but the character design is really good.

If you find the Fate series confusing and hard to get into this game is perfect for you. Has all the best elements of Fate while being its own story without you needing to know any previous knowledge of it. A fun gripping story with fast gameplay and exploration that had me hooked the entire time that the moment I finished the story I was felling melancholic. You can feel the care and love they gave to this game.

7/10 for me. Good story, good settings, but it gets flat after 8 hours. Also, graphics look like it was from the 2015.
