Played this game just over halfway through on my phone years ago. It's a very cute game with beautiful art/music and fun yet simple gameplay. Very cozy! I have been looking towards playing this game again once I got my PC. I recommend playing other games by this dev as well, specifically Bluebird of Happiness and Town of Tides. Not sure if they're on Steam but I know they're on mobile!
Fishing Paradiso is a low friction indie game that quietly stands out by putting its story ahead of its fishing mechanics. The fishing itself is intentionally simple: catch fish, upgrade your gear, unlock new locations, and complete quests. It's satisfying without being demanding, making it a great game to unwind with rather than one to master. Its biggest weakness is repetition. Fishing is incredibly simplistic, and the fishing loop can become grindy late in the game. The low input, and repetitive loop has caused me to doze off sometimes. Some dialogue feels awkward due to localization. Though I find many of the characters charming because of it. Pick this up during a sale. Great on the Steam Deck.
My first game from Odencat, as fun as i remembered!! (this is my second time playing haha) It'd be so much better if you've played Bear's Restaurant though, each character's background story was told there. While this game can be played on its own, it's more like a continuation story from Bear's Restaurant ^^
