Greetings, reader! I've been thinking for a long time about how to properly express my thoughts about the game Flashing Lights, and I'm finally ready to share my experience. I've been playing since the game was released and have accumulated a lot of observations. · Overall impression The game is a simulator of the 911 emergency response service. The mechanics allow you to interact with various services, although the possibilities are slightly limited. When playing for a long time, players may neglect their duties in one role or another. I despise it, but I understand why this is happening. I play exclusively in multiplayer mode, so the examples will be taken from a multiplayer game. · Atmosphere and visual design With good graphics settings, the game does not create a bad atmosphere, but some graphical settings are still unclear to me, and their usefulness is questionable. You can customize the appearance of your character and official vehicles (sirens, flashing lights, and vehicle colors, including downloaded modifications). · However, the visual component has its drawbacks: 1. The character models look outdated and have minimal equipment.; 2. The animation (especially the hunched posture) requires serious refinement, which no one has done since the game was released. · Gameplay Features The basic mechanics include handling 911 calls that have no background, everything is limited by your imagination; traffic control, interaction with him and pedestrians, but he behaves very strangely, I met an NPC who managed to cut me off, swerved on the road from side to side, braked sharply, he accelerated, but He was completely sober after I stopped him and checked his sobriety with the device.; I have performed tasks for various services, not many of which still have errors, such as the inability to pick up an item from a person under the rubble, no matter how hard you try, because the interaction button is simply pressed. does not appear. Additionally, depending on the concept of the challenge, pedestrians will shoot at you upon arrival, but they may NOT have weapons during the search. This still happens and it looks strange, especially when they shoot at you and you accept the call and are far from the place of the call. It also looks strange when a policeman takes aim at a passerby, and he raises his hands to surrender. Even if he fired a shot, but surrenders, then when a policeman approaches him to arrest him, he turns to face him, and does not stand with his back to him, as it should be. I hope you understand why an arrested person should not turn to a policeman when arrested. The police don't even have nitrile gloves, although they need to confiscate all evidence and prohibited substances. · The traffic system is a serious drawback. The current setup from 0 to 20 cars in a player's radius looks rough. It would be more logical to create a dynamic city with constant traffic, where another car would appear in place of the missing car, only in a different place on the map. The same goes for pedestrians. NPC cars can suddenly appear at high speed outside the city right on the road in front of the player. It was all the fault of my disappointment — the roads in the city were completely empty. And the presence of the sandbox menu makes it easier to configure the technical characteristics of the machines, etc. To the developers: it may be convenient for someone, but certainly not for me, because the usual police Crown Victoria does not accelerate to 250-140 km/ h. I hope you understand. · Sound design The sound component leaves much to be desired: flat, featureless footsteps, low-quality sounds of transport, weak, unnatural and not voluminous sounds of special signals (I do not take into account mods), lack of detailed sounds when receiving and accepting calls, raw NPC voice acting. · Technical aspects There are problems: the monotony of missions, which still have bugs (I don't take into account mods) and unrealistic situations, bugs when completing tasks, and average optimization on weak PCs. · Comparison with analogues There are similar games, but they are more demanding on hardware and cost more. Flashing Lights is more accessible in this regard, it has more features, but its potential is not being fully exploited. · Contacting developers As a player who regularly buys DLC, I want to point out the following: 1. The need to rethink development priorities. 2. The importance of correcting old mistakes before adding new content. 3. The need for serious optimization. The game has a right to exist, but it requires serious improvement. With the right approach, she could have become a worthy representative of the genre, but now she causes mixed feelings. The game may be of interest to fans of the genre who are willing to put up with its shortcomings. Sometimes I imagined the game in such a way that I saw mannequins in front of me, not pedestrians — it was depressing... The developers still have a lot to do, and I hope they'll listen to the community's opinion.

I think it's a good game, HOWEVER, there are some issues with the new update that came out the day I am writing this. The new part of the city is quite buggy. Roads barely show up and the game is slower now. Also, after playing for a bit, the game can get a bit repetitive. It's important to note that I do not have any of the DLCs. In conclusion I think it's worth buying as it is a lot of fun, though proceed with caution as there is a few bugs. My advice to the devs is to slow down on adding new features and focus on polishing the game as it is, by fixing bugs. Great game though.

This game has alot of potential, with a good variety of Vehicles and customizable Flashing Police Lights which is by far my favorite feature in the game, the AI can definetly use some work tho, sometimes Renders of the NPCs just turn invisible or spawn inside of buildings making some if not most missions RNG based if they can be completed or not. Overall good game, hope the game gets even better over time as those kinks can be worked out.
