April 2025
At first, I didn’t like the game because, well... there’s no tutorial. I had no clue what I was doing. I didn’t even know how to get coins and you need coins to buy land and get more resources. You also can’t sell stuff right away because you need skill points (which you only get by leveling up) to unlock the market. BUT (a HUGE but), once I finally figured things out, I began enjoying the game. I'm not kidding... I ended up spending way more hours just grinding for achievements like crazy. It’s a really cool game, and honestly, you get your money’s worth. It's not rage-quit hard, but it's also not an easy-peasy lemon-squeezy game. Solid balance. My favorite part? Grinding for 1T coins (thanks to a good strat I found in a guide) and exploring the void. I love looting stuff, so running around another dimension felt like Christmas xD. Now, the most annoying part (and yes, I brought this pain onto myself) was trying to fight the beet boss. I activated it way too early (with my almost-beginner weapons and accessories) just because I was curious how the fight would go. Spoiler: it didn’t go well. I spent ages running in circles, dodging like my life depended on it, hiding behind buildings, and giving cute damage to the boss with my almost-not-upgraded bow (I couldn't do melee because the red stuff the beet boss shoots deals a lot of damage). When its HP was finally hanging by a thread, I accidentally clicked "X" (I was not playing the game in fullscreen). The game didn’t autosave. I had to fight it all over again... starting from HALF HEALTH (which took ages because I only do a very little damage to the boss). Moral of the story: play in fullscreen. Save yourself. Don’t be like me.

Pretty cool and chill game to become addicted for hours, my only problem it's when it comes to the last achievements like "Coin collector" or "Production Master" which requires a lot of time even if you maximize every little thing you can it just doesn't feel worth the time, and that would probably my only complaint about it. It's a shame the community never got multiplayer but it's still addicting on solo and fun.

Good gameplay loop, fun not too difficult puzzles, NPCs have some good jokes, all in all a fun lite experience although it gets really grindy by the end with the nuclear stuff.

Progression in this game feels like a drug. Constantly making that new tool while furnaces are plinking away in the background. This game will have you wanting to do that for hours, it's REALLY addictive buttttttt VVVV Development has ceased so the unpolished and grindy aspects will never be reworked. (Pre-robotic shovel archaeology, fishing rod uselessness outside of kraken eyes, legendary gems farming, slow spirit orb usage, nuclear structures being worse.) Dev seems to have moved onto a 2D sequel while leaving forager out to rot.
