I cannot think of any other tower defense game that come close to Frostborn Wrath. The initial ease of play opens into some of the most expansive trees and abilities I have seen in a TD. So simple but so complex. The xp scaling system off of repeated play is outstandingly done, allowing for intense replay-ability of all maps. The campaign itself is shockingly large, and the steady drip of gameplay additions you get with each stage makes it a captivating playthrough. After the campaign is completed, the endgame is the best I have ever seen in a tower defense. The modifiers, rage scaling, and unlimited upgrade tree means that you can play it indefinitely and still have things to do and upgrade. Fantastic game. If you are a TD fan you absolutely must try this game.

Fun, but it's basically the same game as GemCraft - Chasing Shadows with different maps and even more achievements.

There are definite faults in the game design of FW. The progression is jank and the vast majority of skills are completely useless until the endgame. Still, it's a pretty solid time sink that I had a lot of fun with. P.S. Don't believe ppl who say the game is grindy. Just look up the talisman rune matching bonuses in the guides section, it's what everyone complaining about the grind is missing. To be fair, the game never explains them which is just one more non critical flaw in its game design.

this game really is just really fun. it can be challenging especially the final boss but its very much so doable. quite a bit grindy even for my liking- but still really good overall. I've always loved every gemcraft game ive played and this one is just as good.

The GUI is infuriating frankly. I don't want "Tips" and even after turning them off, every battle starts with one. And why must all towers and walls remain ready to place after the first one? Isn't that what the shift key is for? Why can I not click tower to deselect it? Chasing Shadows while more balanced, is a less polished game in my opinion. But let's be real here, if you are a die hard, you are a die hard. Get it. You know you want to.
