This is a very Ubisoft take on an indie game. That sounds like an insult, but Ubisoft games tend to have this hypnotic effect on players willing to put in the time, and this is no exception. It scratches a particular itch I have for a no-stress platformer with very low stakes to falling or dying that I've honestly struggled to find anywhere else. The traversal mechanics are very gimmicky and kinda lose their weight as you upgrade your jetpack, but they're very elegantly designed. I feel like the trend of flat-shaded low poly art styles has long been stale ever since the Steam Trash floodgates opened, but for the time this was still a relatively unique look and it still sort of holds up today. I'm also a sucker for experiments in procedural animation, and I think the janky character physics are genuinely charming. The soundtrack is also nothing special, but I feel like it compliments the relaxing nature of the game. I'm probably not doing a very good job at selling the game with my lukewarm compliments, but I think it's well worth the price considering what you get out of it. The fact that I'm writing this review over a decade later at least indicates that it's a somewhat memorable experience, and perhaps you'll agree.

Surprisingly creative and intuitive gameplay. A little bit short, but still enjoyable.

This is such a fun game! The world is so colorful and fun to explore with a cute design to everything. It felt like I was transported into a different world climbing a giant plant. Climbing from the ground to thousands of meters/feet into the air really feels like you're high in the sky and with the teleporters it's a breeze switching between zones. You can save at any time and log back in the next day to travel up higher. There's lots of things to collect as you wonder around which unlock useful features for your robot character. I highly recommend this game. It's a short game, but at 50% off it's still well worth the money.

Amazing, amazing game. One of those games you played as a kid and replay as an adult, and it’s even better the second time.
