i love the game. played through it on vr but probably wont play again until the vr is VERY un optimized. imma just list some things i hope to see. 1. mag palming. 2 mod support 3. more gun animations 4. in my opinion i think having the same kinda pistol grabbing as alyx rather than the holster would personally feel better. i died SO many times just cuz my holster wasnt working properly. 5. speaking of holsters can we make them more stiff? doing a 180 and my holsters not moving at all is a bit weird. 6. better grab points. all around they felt very not good. this isnt a dump i genuinely hope to see this game go farther than alot of vr games have. seems like he maker has a great passion for it and im glad. oh and 1 more thing UP THAT GORE BABYYYYY
Worth $25 and will be more worth it with updates. An actual indie PCVR game that hasn't been dulled down for standalone VR headsets. Pros: -Great graphics and map design -Fun guns in VR and flatscreen -makes you feel extremely cool -best gun attachment system in VR, too many other games rely on finnicky rail attachments and weird button combinations. -A phone in VR that isn't awful to use. Cons: -Currently melee in VR is terrible, and throwing knives is super inconsistent. Sometimes youll do an epic throw, or it just gets tossed and clatters on the ground. -Game runs smooth just occasional hitches, both in vr and flatscreen. -dialogue can be cringe and a little annoying on replay -the AI is pretty bad, and its way more noticeable in flatscreen than VR. -VR holsters arent great, trying to grab your gun without looking usually ends up grabbing your knife or nothing at all.
Positives - Gunplay feels great and the weapons look, feel and sound fantastic. - Graphics are good and the maps are well designed. - Lots of cool pistols, rifles and shotguns. I like that there are some lesser seen guns in the game too. - The weapon attachment system is very good. There are plenty of weapon attachments (suppressors, sights, lasers, etc.) that you can equip and change on the fly. - Enemies respond to locational damage. If you shoot at their legs, they won't get back up. Negatives - Bad VR performance. The game desperately needs to be optimized. No DLSS/upscaling or resolution slider available as of now. - The game has pretty good settings but is missing some basic options like manual height set and custom holster placement. Using seated mode and calibrating makes me too tall, and the holsters constantly turn and lag behind, so a gun rarely makes it back in. (Maybe an auto-holster option could be a solution?) - Releasing the slide/chambering a round by pulling the trigger is extremely unintuitive. Please allow us to rebind slow-mo so B becomes available as slide release (like pretty much any other VR game). I'm fighting 20+ years of muscle memory every reload. - Grabbing mags from the chest holster is incredibly inconsistent with both pistol and rifle magazines. - Distance-grabbing items and guns is too finicky. It's not easy enough to quickly grab something, and usually it takes a second to position my controller just right. Played on a Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop.
Needs more time to cook Well the gameplay, shooting and CQC is fun, but it's not GOTY yet. I recently upgraded my GPU and soon my CPU, but I couldn't keep the games fps stable on complete low settings. Thus there is no resolution slider in-game to experiment. But stil fun and the game is really thought through in terms of gameplay. Once it gets more time, it'll be a must buy.
