Somewhat recommend. The game is incredibly tense in the first hour or so but the novelty wears off hard after this point. The game is able to make a terrifying atmosphere that very few horror games can match. However, it has way too many sections where you're just backtracking and it starts to get less scary and more tedious, which is the biggest flaw for me. There's also way too much handholding when it comes to solving the puzzles. It doesn't explore its own themes as much as I'd like too, which really would have helped with the narrative. I'd still recommend the game if abstract horror interests you. It's priced well and you can finish it in one sitting. It's also hard to not have a soft spot for this game, being a pillar of the indie horror scene back then.

A profitable place, for profitable people! THIS GAME IS GLORIOUS. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING FUCK WITH MY PC MORE AND I'VE PULLED RAM OUT OF A LAPTOP WHILE IT WAS RUNNING DIGITAL LOBOTOMY THIS IS MY FAVORITE HORROR GAME EVER PLAY IT NOW

Was streaming on discord to my friend group. Scared me so bad I accidentally hit a shortcut combo that opened NSFW on stream. 10/10 worst fears realised The labyrinth section was slightly annoying

Think outside the box. When you compare this game to Spooky's HoJ, it's more spooky but also crashes a lot (on purpose). IMSCARED immerse you more than just !@#45. Think of it as a meta game that changes every time you open it again - you will be surprised. Recommended to fans of pixelated horror games with somewhat spooky atmosphere.
