Iron Marines Invasion – 8/10 ( my personal rating ) Ironhide returns with a stronger, smarter sequel. The controls are smoother, gameplay more dynamic, and the overall experience feels far more refined. Visually, it is a clear upgrade - polished, colorful, and full of character - very unique artstyle of Ironhide. The story also takes a meaningful step up, offering more intrigue and momentum. If you liked the first one, this is an easy recommendation. It builds on everything that worked and adds just enough new to make it feel fresh.

Iron hide studio is one of my favorite developers for PC games. This sequel to Iron Marines is good, but I didn't love it like many of their other games. The UI and art is great. Ths felt like it was missing something from greatness. Its fun and many units to choose from, but you can only select three per mission, which restricts the player. It is a story to watch unfold, but each mission does not seem to build from the last like in many of their other games. I liked laying the game, but no sure if I want to play again and do the challenges.

This is a neutral comment: I don't recommend this game, but it's not a bad game. Iron Marine 1 is way better than this sequel. Pros: - game doesn't crash - in-game wiki is added Cons: - very bad control on PC -> e.g. select the ultimate ability by left clicking, then you can't cancel it by right clicking or ESC. - melee units have difficulties to find target - difficult to select units in order to change shape - missions are shorter and boring with respect to Iron Marine 1 - Maps are smaller, there are not much to explore in nearly every map. Features: - This game is more towards RTS. In Iron Marine 1, it's a creative TD-based game with more maneuvers. - Units are not balanced. This probably comes from the mobile version in which they sell units separately. Once you get the dinosaur (Monarch), you basically burn down everything easily. Conclusion: - Play Iron Marine 1 - Play Kingdom Rush 12345 - If you haven't played any of these games above, don't play Iron Marine 2 Invasion.

The great sequel of the original Iron Marines, a great mix of RTS and TD elements in one game, allowing (and demanding) to juggle between different tactics thanks to the option to rapidly switch each unit to another type of the same faction. The game is well balanced, accessible for players either looking for a chill playthrough while keeping it simple, or looking for a hard, punishing challenge. This game greatly improves many aspects from it's predecessor, adding endless sidequests as you explore the galaxy to be able to farm resources and adding many different factions for the player to select, to adapt their team to each mission or to their own playstyle by combining the factions. All missions feel unique, allowing for the game to always feel fresh. The art style and animation are vibrant as always - Ironhide's greatest strenght lies in this. The characters feel very alive and add a bit of humor to the gameplay to keep it spiced up. As all the other ironhide's games, this one is also full of easter eggs for the player to find.

Again, a sequel to a game that is a bit of a sideways move from IronHide Studios normal bread and butter, but its good fun. Again, the game is more micro intensive than their Tower games. I'm not as much a fan of all the different 'factions' you can use, as I feel that came at the cost of much of the upgrade system the original game had.
