Setting up the english patch is not difficult. Game has potential just mechanics of it need to be better fleshed out like a jack of all trades master of non. I'm glad their settings take account of certain gameplay can be slow and settings are offered.

After 200 hours in and getting all achievements, yeah I can rate this game more properly. It's an excellent Three Kingdoms game and RPG to boot First, it's a refreshing feel of a familiar gameplay from Koei games, no doubt the devs themselves play those games. This game is closest to ROTK X and XIII where they have drawn most of their inspirations from them, this is where Koei usually have problems, they take 1 step forward and 2 steps backwards, forgetting what worked in previous games, this game brings back the good elements of those games while mixing some of their own. I generally can't find things to complain about the game as most of their issues are already patched out, they say they are an early access game but I feel like I am already kinda playing a full game, at least they released the whole thing as functional which is more than what we can say for some AAA official releases lol. The only real issue is more of a game balance issue, in one of the game's most important features (events) in order to get the best results the game will require you to start as a powerful officer as the events will have some difficult situation for the player and their companions to get out of, even first rate officers might have issues with them depending on their builds, so if you want to roleplay a weaker character to do these 190s events chances are you might not be able to get the event done before the time limit no matter how hard you train, while this time limit pretty much makes the event the high point of that current game for generals who COULD train to beat them, as in, once you beat that event everything else becomes too easy. Its a tough issue, on one hand if you make it too easy then the whole game becomes cakewalk, on the other hand if you make it too hard then the ticket of admission is much more limited in a game that is supposed to have a huge amount of freedom, as it currently stands these events is like fighting the Demon King out of the gate and then only fighting slimes right after. Personally I think the best way to go about doing this is to have the events be easier with some kind of buff and have stronger enemies for you to fight later in the game maybe, but whatever the case is, after you train you will become too powerful for the rest of the game if you are already a strong character, it is hard to keep things interesting but then it's a strategy game as well...this is what happens when you try to do it all. I am sure I have more to add but I have no time right now for that, maybe later I might make a video about it and also add more thoughts on this review

one of the best 3 kingdom game i played so far, But storyline is too little and sometime i see zhugeliang has been recruited from other nation even the story is not started yet. There are still bunch of improvement needed to make the game better. Hopefully it wont stop here. But its a must try game if youre 3 kingdom fans

Legend of Heroes: Three Kingdoms – A Magical Rewrite of History What if you weren’t just another officer in the Three Kingdoms, but someone with the power to rewrite fate using Yellow Turban magic? Overview Legend of Heroes: Three Kingdoms is a roleplaying strategy game inspired by Koei’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms series — but with a fantasy twist. You play as a lone hero (or heroine!) in the chaotic late Han era, forging your own destiny, making friends with legendary figures, and even correcting history. Pros [*]Tons of freedom as a free agent — train, explore, duel, or study. [*]Build deep relationships with historical legends like Liu Bei, Lu Bu, and more. [*]High affection unlocks unique “rewrite fate” events — save Sun Ce, Guan Yu, and others from their tragic ends. [*]Even if historical events don't trigger due to AI wars, your Yellow Turban powers can "fix" things without breaking immersion. [*]Optional (but popular) system of saving famous women and recruiting them into your family. [*]Much deeper and more flexible than ROTK13 in terms of freedom and sandbox potential. Neutral / Gameplay Mechanics •Battles are split into three types: [*]Battalion warfare (familiar to ROTK13 players) [*]Language duels (deck-based, turn-based logic battles) [*]Weapon duels (deck-based with movement, similar to Baldur’s Gate) [*]Deck-building is slow but rewarding — skills must be learned and powered by your soul energy. [*]High-stat characters dominate; low-stat starts are very difficult. [*]No English yet — only Chinese at the moment. But the developer promised to add it together with Japanese and Korean later. Frustrations [*]Affection grinding takes too long — AI factions recruit people faster than you can bond with them. [*]You can’t recruit officers from other cities unless their loyalty drops very low and you have to grind affection with them to let them go with you, not like you can make someone else rebel. [*]Social system is overly complex — 5 types of affection (like friendship, admiration...) + multiple mood states (like excitement, gratitute...). [*]As a female player character, you’re locked out of many “save & marry” events (they require a male PC). [*]Time doesn’t pass easily — hard to wait for events naturally. Also stumbled about what i should be doing in waiting events are there are too many things to be done. [*]UI needs polish — lots of clicking to move around, and it’s easy to lose track of your goals. [*]No AI planning for battles — you do everything manually. [*]Graphics are indie-level — heavy AI art, 3D models are basic. Final Thoughts Legend of Heroes: Three Kingdoms is a passion project with a wild concept: mix xianxia magic with classic Three Kingdoms gameplay. It’s rough around the edges — Early Access, indie dev, no English yet — but for fans of the era and deep sandbox games, it offers something truly unique. I can't wait to see what will be provided in the final version If you’ve ever wanted to change history with the wave of a Taoist hand and save your favorite heroes from their doom — this is your game.
