People still playing this game in 2025 warms my heart. From the music, atmosphere, and artistic direction, and the (relatively) well designed puzzles....you get quickly integrated into this world. There are some head-scratchers in this game, so don't feel too bad if you get stumped, but if you saw the game and thought "this looks neat", you won't be disappointed, and it's worth playing. If you're an older sort, and want another take on a game like "Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey", this did scratch that itch too.

When I was very little, my dad had come across this game. He bought the game, off the original page of Amanita Design. I remember those late nights, when my dad would play the game. And the music would be playing, i'd watch him also play it as well. Now I am going to finish the game, and I love the game due to nostalgia. Also the environments, and art are so pretty. Even the music hits different than any other game.

This is my childhood game, when I was as little as 1 years old, I sat in my dad's lap watching him and my mom play this game together. Back then, I was just fascinated by the little robot and how it moves, stretches out, interacts with things and most importantly dances. I remember copying the dance moves and the enjoyment from it, while making my parents laugh. Fast forward to 15 years later, during a very casual, nothing out of the ordinary day, I suddenly got a flashback to this game. It made me so happy that I remembered it and instantly went searching for "little robot game" on Google. Thankfully, Machinarium popped up first and I instantly recognized it. After that, the next moment it was already in my steam library. The joy of opening up a childhood game and starting to play it is beyond words. My parents are now divorced, so I played this game mostly on my own, sometimes with my mom. Her and I were both overjoyed. I cannot express the internal joy I felt playing through the game and recognizing some stages, it was such a heart warming moment, tbh it made me pretty emotional. It was just so beautiful playing through this game, being able to remember some stages and also discovering new ones and dwelling into the gorgeous art and puzzles of this game. I had so much joy playing this game and I can't wait to revisit every once in a while the in-game street band and vibe to the music, just like when I was little. P.S. the game's OST is pure perfection, along with everything else. I'm not saying this only because it's so sweet to experience a game I hold so dear to my heart, but also because this game genuinely is absolute perfection, 10/10. There were so many scenes that made me laugh, go "awww", and even tear up. I love this game so so so much, it is one of my heart's most beloved treasures. Thank you, Machinarium.<3

Machinarium is a charming, brainy adventure where a little robot braves puzzles and a rusty world to save his love. Adorable art, clever challenges, and robot giggles make it a delight!
